I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
I was taking Loestrin Fe and had alot of spotting the first month (not necessarily while having sex). I also had more spotting in the third month. I told my doctor & she said that the hormones were too low for me. I would let your doctor know and see if there might be a better one out there for you.
ve had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal? I am also getting married soon and I want to make sure ill be able to get pregnant and being on the pill for this long won't hirt my chances once I get off. Thanks!
Hi, I have been taking ortho-tricyclen lo for 4+ years and originally loved the pill because I had previously been on loestrin ( a lower dose pill that caused spotting). However, over the past few years I believe that ortho-tricylen has caused me to gain weight and feel extra anxious. My pill pack is ending this sunday and I was toying with the idea of stopping my birth control all together to see if the symptoms were indeed from ortho-tricylen.
My last period I spotted 3 days before my period and my period was very light and short. Now I have been spotting 10 days before my scheduled period August 13. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex July 31st and August 2nd and after August 2nd is when the light brown spotting started. Could I be pregnant or is it just normal spotting??

He said that it would stop the spotting. I stopped spotting for 3 days and then started right back up again. I have one more Estradiol pill left. I have an appointment with him Tuesday to see how I am doing.
Obviously the bleeding hasn't stopped and as far as I know there is nothing else they can give me to stop the spotting. I am going to ask to have the Implanon removed if that is the case.
My question is what is a good birth control?
Hi, I am on lo loestrin fe and i have been on it continuously for about two years and on the birth control I stopped getting my period. On Sunday I was sick and threw up for a while but it was later in the day at least 6 hours after i took my birth control pill. The next day I had vaginal spotting/bleeding and still took my dose at the normal time. It has been three days and I am still lightly spotting. Is there a problem or something I can do?
I've finally found a doctor that takes me seriously and agrees that I have all the classic symptoms of endo. Along with a family history and during the exam she thought she felt the "bands" where it had attached itself. Of course the only way to be sure is surgery but she wants to do the less envasive first......birthcontrol. I really like my new doctor but I can't help but be nervous about the side effects.
I'm 23 and on birth control (Loestrin 24). Normally my periods are somewhat regular, but really light and short. Last month I didn't have one, but I did have some slight spotting before my period was supposed to come. This month my period also skipped.
I have no other symptoms of PCOS except some acne on my chin (but occasional breakouts are not uncommon for me, I have oily skin, plus an expired skin product and eating wheat with my allergy may have caused this).
I've been on Loestrin 24 fe for about a year now. I take it regularly and consistently, but vomited a few hours after taking one pill of this month's pack. I'm on the second day of the placebo pills now, and I did not have a period last month at all. My boyfriend and I have been having sex, without using condoms, for 5 months and everything has been fine, but I'd like some reassurance. Could missing that one pill in the first week of pills cause me to be pregnant?
It's normal to not get a period on lo loestrin fe. I take it also and don't get a period. The dosing is extremely low so it's not uncommon. I am mid cycle tho and having period like cramps- I don't know what's going on with that. You should take a pregnancy test.
m supposed to take the bc continuously. When I got to the placebo pills and skipped them, I started spotting lightly around that time, about a panty liner a day of brownish discharge. Ever since then it hasn't stopped. It''s been over a month of the same kind of spotting. The doctor told me to give it a few months. But I wonder if it will ever go away or it just means my body is used to the dose now and I need a higher dose?
I was on loestrin birth control for 2 weeks. I had unprotected sex, and he finished in me. I took my pill late the next day and started spotting. I took my pill for 2 more days (a total of 3 days after we had sex), but since I was still spotting, I just decided to stop taking the pill and have my period. I've been lo loestrin fe for the past 19 months and everything is going well until.......last pack(i forgot 1 day but did take 2 the next day) and spotting for 12 days but it did stop on the placebo week. Thought everything is back to normal so I continued the current pack, however i'm having spotting again (so basically only back to normal for 2 weeks). i'm not sure what happens. this time, i've been taking pill the same time, no mistake....

I am on Lo Loestrin Fe and last pill pack I accidentally skipped two white pills and two blue pills. I consistently have unprotected sex with my husband. A week after my last period I had slight spotting with brown tissue-like discharge and white like mucus along with cramping This lasted a few days. Now I’m moody and nauseous in the morning. I’m due for my next period in three days. Should I be concerned for pregnancy?
Okay, so to start with I started take Loestrin June 1 and stopped taking it July 12 because it was messing me up emotionally and it had me spotting for 10 days straight mid cycle. Went to my ob and she put me on another one which has seemed to be working fine. Thing is i went to that appointment July 22 and i was told to start the new bc when i started my period. Waited 2 weeks for it to show and never did so Aug 15 i started the new bc. Didn't think much of missing that period at the time.
I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe birth control from about 4 months now. The first month I got my period on schedule and experienced no side effects. The second month I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month, but no period on the placebo pills. The second month I had light brown spotting the 2nd week but again no period. Should I be concerned?
Over the past three days I have experienced some brown spotting and light (almost pink) blood spotting. I have also been a little crampy and nauseous. Today, especially, I woke up and was dry heaving. I have not noticed any unusual fatigue or headaches.
Could I possibly be pregnant or is it too soon to tell? I have been pregnant before...but I don't remember the fatigue or nausea setting in until I was about 8 weeks pregnant.
I currently taken 1500 mg of Metformin and was on birth control. I started on Loestrin FE and I found I would get double periods sort of. I would getting spotting for 3 days in week two but then my regualr period the last week. My doctor told me if it continued into month three call him. Well, it continued so he put me on Zovia 35 I think was the name.
