Avatar f tn A few years ago my mom was diagnosed with vaginal and rectal cancer in the end the doctor prescribed her lidocaine 2% jelly for painful intercourse and bowel movements. Would it be safe to use it during anal sex? I have used it before after the birth of my daughter and it worked wonders. I would like an idea on it before I did use it.
Avatar f tn Should I consult my doc or what. I used dibucaine ointment and am contemplating lidocaine jelly. Any other tx options would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn m not sure which it is, it just started being painful in the last two days, and I have yet to see a doctor - I have Lidocaine Hydrochloride Jelly USP 2% prescription, dated 2/14/12, that was never opened, can I use it safely to see if it helps,
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with genital hsv2 about 3 months ago through PP. The initial outbreak was almost over when I was tested so I don't know if the acyclovir aided in clearing it up or not. I was told to take it 3x a day whenever I first notice symptoms and continue for 7-10 days, longer if it isn't cleared up yet. I've had at least 2 more outbreaks in the same spot since then and been taking the acyclovir for about a month straight right now.
Avatar n tn I recently worked with an epoxy that I had thought was an MSDS Health rating 2, which means: "Intense or continued exposure could cause temporary incapacitation or possible residual injury unless prompt medical attention is given." The warnings on the package suggest to avoid eye/skin contact, avoid breathing vapors and to work in "adequate ventilation" (note that no one ever explains what this means).
Avatar n tn However, some do it under local anesthesia also using lignocaine jelly. Hence, this procedure can be done under local anesthesia. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn In the future, ask doc to prescribe lidocaine jelly, so that you are prepared in case you get a painful one, just in case. Save it for when you need it. Clean wound twice a day. I might also suggest keeping prescription pain killers handy, but don't use unless you need it to avoid addiction. I had a very painful episode the night after thanksgiving when all the docs were on vacation and I would have had to pay off hours fee at a clinic.
210982 tn?1280983895 My uncle who had cancer found that it was the only thing that took his back pain away. It has some sort of lidocaine, novocaine, or zylocaine properties in it that numbs the area of pain.I think you would benefit from it. You can pick it up from Walmart. If not, ask your doc For some Zylocaine Jelly. This is prescription strength and numbs the area really good, without making you feel high.Hope this helps.

Avatar f tn t find it at the drugstore either bit other hospitals give it to you. Also my doc prescribed Lidocaine Jelly which is a topical that helps ease discomfort with stitches. Try that and do you r sitz baths...mine never itched but were extremely painful and sensitive.
Avatar f tn I still try to have it occasionally and sometimes use a spray with lidocaine. Every time I have sex I always bleed afterwards, not too much but it’s every single time. This is without using the spray/ unprotected/protected and using the spray. I’ve had a vaginal ultrasound in April which was normal and I’m clean for all sexual infections and have never had one. Can anyone suggest what to do or what it could be?
Avatar m tn Hi I am not a doctor but I would think that there would be an MSDS sheet that would explain the dangers. You already know that everything you we eat breathe and put on the body has to be processed by the liver. I will try to find something. and come back.

1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar n tn They keep on telling me that all i was exposed to was general purpose oil, used in the vacuum pump of the GCMS. There was no extraction from the GCMS instrument. I looked up the MSDS for that chemical but my symtoms are not consitent with there findings. I sent off a hair sample to the US for mineral analysis. It stated that i had high levels of tin. I know inorganic tin is more or less harmless, or is it?, but can organotin cause these type of symtoms?.
Avatar n tn I went to my OB GYN doc and she said 99% it was herpes and did another biopsy. It was and I got started on Valtrex and topical lidocaine jelly for the pain and they dried up and went away.
