Avatar f tn My 16y/o daughter has UC. Has been on Lialda 2.4 g/day for 6 months. She was on prednisone for the first 4 months of the same time period. Has had significant hair loss for the last 5 months. Cortisol AM is normal. My duaghter also has ITP and is considered chronic, it usually manifests during a UC flare up. Is the Lialda a possible culprit.
Avatar f tn I was put on lialda when I started having an alergic reaction to sulpha drugs. I main question is that I now have a bad taste in my mouth. Is this from the lialda?
Avatar n tn on dec19,i got some pain medicine for abdomen pain, today dec 30th i got another pain medicine because the pain was alot stronger and more sever than before, can i use my insurance card to get the 12 tablets i got from the ER.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experienced weight gain around the stomach while on Lialda? I've had UC for 22 years and have been on several different medications. I was on Prednisone for 14 years and never gained a pound. In February of 2009 I was put on Lialda after a 4 year remission. I gained 10 pounds within two weeks, all on my stomach. Last November, I had another flare that lasted 4 months (I never lost a pound even though I was eating very little).
1070971 tn?1299614110 I was told that I have inflamation in my small intestine after having the pill cam done so I was put on Lialda. It works great. I have actually been able to go to the bathroom without Milk of Magnesia or other stool softeners. I have noticed that I have gained alot of weight in a short time though. About 10 pounds in 2-3 weeks. Has anyone experienced weight gain with this medication? Is this just water retention? I am not happy about it!
Avatar f tn I am very stressed out about not being able to afford this medicine. As an alternative, I am really considering ordering from canada online pharmacy. Has anyone ordered any kind of prescriptions thru the internet? Please shed some light. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I am currently taking lialda 2 capsules twice a day. I basically stopped taking the lialda because it made me feel worse than I already was. My question is is there a reason why the lialda makes me have pain in my gut. Are there any other new meds out there of UC? Are there any new surgeries to cure UC?
Avatar f tn She prescribed me my prenatal vitamins and a morning sickness pill however i dont have a card or anything to get them with from the pharmacy. How am i going to be able to get them withouth paying the 300 dollars? Any advice is appreciated. Idk what to do. I guess if all else fails ill just try to go back to the dss and ask them even though ive done called and left a vmail..
Avatar n tn In Massachusetts a pharmacist can refuse to fill any prescription at any time, and don't even have to give a reason. I think most pharmacists that do have a problem filling a prescription will simply say that they don't have your medicine in stock, or even that they don't carry your particular medication in their formulary. You were smart to go to your doctor, as some practices require the use of only one pharmacy.
Avatar f tn I was extremely shaken up for many reasons - there was a bottle of my doc, right in my hands, plus the fact that my card was charged!!! I had to close that card, along with another one in my name (to be safe). Thank God my daughter was home that day and got the mail. I spent a day trying to get through to an English speaking person that could explain why/how this happened.
Avatar n tn I started taking Lialda in August, 2008, and took it (3-1g tabs once per day) for 5 months before I got better. However, I am not sure whether to credit the Lialda or the Flora-Q I began taking after three months into my treatment. I have lymphocytic colitis so this may not pertain directly to your diagnosis, but I hope it helps.
1269644 tn?1270486006 Hello everyone! I recently had a Colonoscopy to find out what is going on with me.. I have had bloody diarrhea, dizziness, muscle aches/pains, fatigue and nausea for the past 9 months. The Dr. said that he saw some inflammation in the left side of my colon and took some Biopsies. Is this how he can tell if it is Crohn's or UC? Can't he tell just by the imaging through the Colonoscopy? What can they determine under a scope? Also, he prescribed me Lialda 2x's a day..
Avatar f tn I had a really weird phone call the other day. I answered the phone and someone with a heavy accent asked me if I knew that ordering drugs from online pharmacies was illegal?( I haven't ordered from an online pharmacy in 2+ years.) So, I said yes. Then the man went on to say he was so and so from some agency and what I did was a federal crime and they were doing an investigation on online pharmacies. I told him I didn't think he was who he said he was and hung up.
Pteranadon 99 for a bottle of 50 tablets or $79.99 if your dog is listed on a Prescription Savings Card. Please call your local pharmacy to confirm its availability as well as the price.
5684059 tn?1374435322 Yea mines were the chewable n they covered it.. I really like the gummies tho but my Medicaid wont cover them..
Avatar f tn hi there yes i have uc and bowel sounds are quite normal for me as soon as i eat? then i have to go on the loo !!
Avatar f tn If you have no insurance there might be a discount card that you can print out and take to your pharmacy. My card saves me over $50 a month for my pain meds. Just google, best prices on Phentenol 120 mgs. Make sure you put in your zip code.
Avatar f tn I got a co pay card from Gilead and they said I could bypass insurance just need a script from a Doctor. Anyone knows how that works. I have heard you have to be denied by insurance first, will Doctors actually do this, just write you a script?
Avatar n tn I tried to do the same thing with getting my Lialda medication but they never replied back to my paperwork or anything. I am going to try again this year to see if I can get it.
Avatar m tn Great - and even if they don't allow you to cancel it, just call the Dr. and they will do it for you. I found that when I thought I had cancelled a script, it turned out they couldn't take it out of the system without the Dr.'s involvement and it sat at the pharmacy for sometime after I thought that my cancelling it alone was enough and then I discovered it was still there (I still take bp meds from the same pharmacy so that's how I found out).
798555 tn?1292787551 I went on NP Thyroid a few years ago to avoid any future hassles of Canadian ERFA shipments. NP was cheap to, Its pays to compare who you get it from as brick and mortar pharmas use different distributors sometimes. That diff alone for NP is $90 cash vs $250 cash for 90 days in my case. 1 Mile can save me that much $. Walgreen's has a discount club for cash payers.....then its $50 for 90 days. If that "club card" goes, I'll be paying more.
1132848 tn?1345643890 ve found a few websites that you can order fertility meds online and have them delivered but I think they are only for the US. Just wondering costs from your local pharmacy and also if anyone from Canada has ordered from the net and had them delievered because their costs are insanely cheap!!
702707 tn?1228703861 Continued............$550. So for them it dropped it like a hundred bucks. I honestly think that any pharmacy that gives you a big discount like that is probably highly overpriced to begin with. The places I go are pretty cheap and I've only gotten a discount of a few bucks. The place I currently go to gives me like a $3-$6 discount on 30 pills. When I went to Walmart they gave me $10 off. It depends on what you're buying, how much, and where.
562511 tn?1285904160 Medicare has quit covering many medications this year. My prescription insurance plan is lousy and quit paying for one of my medications all together. I wanted to share with you a prescription card I got in the mail the other day. It said it was free to use (uh huh, sure) Not that I'm cynical or anything. Yesterday I decided to use it and guess what? The prescription that usually costs $30.00 cost me $9.00. I can live with that. I don't know if the discount is always that good.
Avatar f tn When I saw my midwife at 12 weeks she never mmentioned a card to get prescriptions free? I've had one set of antibiotics & they never asked to see a card.. Tried to get a prescription today as I have thrush & they wouldn't let me get it as I didn't have this card..
Avatar f tn I went to walmart then stopped by pharmacy. Tech says they have to order, asks for my medicaid card to put in system. Says be ready 9am next day. 11:00 i come in and no meds. Says come back next day. I get text that its ready. I go in. Different tech asks for my medicaid to put it in. First one never did. Then find out medicaid doesnt cover it. I call dr office from car. On hold 15 mins. Finally girl tells me medicaid doesnt cover prenatal vitamins AT ALL!!!!!!
