Levocetirizine pseudoephedrine

Common Questions and Answers about Levocetirizine pseudoephedrine

xyzal

Avatar n tn Xyzal) for my allergies, I skipped it this morning since I was going in for a blood test and urine test, but I did take a dose yesterday. Will Levocetirizine affect the outcome of the test in any way? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn Hydoxyzine worked wonders for me (once I got a high enough dose). I take 25 - 50 mg. every 6 hours. I had a bad rash all over my body except my face and buttocks and it stopped the itching and is clearing the rash. I wish they would have started it in Dec,. but it seems with these side effects we are all re-inventing the wheel. The docs seem clueless.
Dog If you were my patient, I would advise you to take something that does NOT have pseudoephedrine in it. There are lots of products and it might be best to ask the pharmacist when you are in the store. Something like Nyquil might suit. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I'm thinking because of the pseudoephedrine ingredient, kids may think they'll get a "speed" type of feeling. Mostly it's a rapid heart rate if you take too much. Either way it's not good to abuse it. Also,Claritin-D cannot be purchased over the counter. You need to ask for it at the pharmacy and you'll get it AFTER your license is checked and recorded. Your daughter is displaying some questionable behavior. Get on that fast! Good luck!
Avatar n tn For burning throat, gargle with salt water immediately and keep doing it. Take Montelukast+levocetirizine for 10 days one daily(0-0-1) preferably night. take multivitamins and gargle with Tantum before food, betadine(1:5) and hydrogen peroxide(1:10) after food for three days. Take dichlo for pain relieving for 2 days(1-0-1). If symptoms persist, rush to the ENT specialist.
Avatar f tn Sudafed is a trademark for a common brand that contains pseudoephedrine, although Sudafed PE does not contain it. I donĀ“t know which one you used, but it is recommended that pseudoephedrine is NOT to be used in patients with: diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, prostatic hypertrophy, hyperthyroidism, closed angle glaucoma, or those who are PREGNANT. When you see your doctor, tell him everything you used (full trademark name of medications). Hope this was helpful.
Avatar m tn I'm allergic and I know it! I've been allergic ever since I was a little boy and I've learned to live with that. My problem is that during the last couple of years, I seem to get more and more sensitive to the allergens that trigger my reactions, as well as more prone to have shortness of breath as a primary reaction! This year, although spring hadn't affected me so far, I happened to catch a cold (whether it was the flu, a cold or bacterial infection I don't know!
Avatar m tn Runnning nose and watery eyes and i have taken levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5mg... it seems better but my head has become heavy after taking the medicine.. please advice and can i take steam ? what are the precautions that needs to be taken ?
Avatar n tn Are there any studies related to the long term use of pseudoephedrine-triprolidine? I took this over the counter medication for over 20 years. I am 40 years old now, and am experiencing many ailments, that the doctors can't identify cause. B12 deficiency, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, digestive issues, persistant rashes, depression, lethargy, heart issues, and the list goes on. I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find anything. Surely some studies have been done.
Avatar f tn I believe pseudoephedrine is safe to take. It was on my list of safe medicines to take during pregnancy.
4442651 tn?1355714087 At the beginning of my second trimester I had a really bad cold and congestion Dr told me to take sudafed (over the counter) (pseudoephedrine ) I took it for about 7 days as recommended on the pack and then felt better.
Avatar n tn Some people feel that another decongestant, pseudoephedrine, works better than phenylephrine. Pseudoephedrine is available behind the counter at drug stores. If you do not notice an improvement in your sinus congestion after 7 days, or if you have a fever, please notify your doctor since these are usually signs of an infection. If that is the case, you will not be able to resolve the problem with over the counter decongestants alone. Your physician may need to prescribe antibiotics.
Avatar n tn These include levocetirizine, loratidine etc. this can be combined with nasal decongestants (combination are available) and should be taken against prescription. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn The pseudoephedrine in the claritin d is really what will help with your headaches the most. I suffer from chronic sinus headaches and have taken pseudoephedrine as needed through pregnancy. As long as its not taken excessively, its fine.
Avatar f tn Every year I have the worst allergies and so far nothing, I'm 6w2days and hoping that I won't get them this spring but highly doubt it. I will definitely ask my Dr.
Avatar m tn hello everyone Almost 5 days back I had flu and running nose. For this problem, I have taken medicine which I also use before sometime for the same problem. Each tablet contains 5mg Loratadine & 120mg Pseudoephedrine Sulfate. In past, it gives me good results but this time after taking this medicine my flu is batter but I can't sneeze. I have tried almost all methods like "Wiggle a tissue in the nose", "Look up toward a bright light", Sniff a spice etc but all waste.
746512 tn?1388807580 However all the allergy medications I know about (aerius, clartin, reactive, allegra, zrytec) all use pseudoephedrine in their decongesant formulas. I was wondering if anyone knows of another medicine that works similarly to pseudoephedrine but (hopefully) wouldn't cause me the horrible side effects. I can't even take the cough medicine I use to take with 5mg of pseudoephedrine because they now cause side effects.
Avatar n tn Hi I have had severe Hives for 2 mos. This is the worse outbreak I've ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.
Avatar f tn Pseudoephedrine is what my doctor recommended. ....I dont trust any meds while pregnant so I'm just toughing it out.
Avatar n tn Hi, probably it is viral pharyngitis, please try betadine gargles along with anti histaminic (you are already taking one) and decongestants like pseudoephedrine. If no relief is seen in 3 days, get throat cuture done to rule out bacterial infection ( strep etc). Pain killers like ibuprofen might help too.
