Avatar n tn Xyzal) for my allergies, I skipped it this morning since I was going in for a blood test and urine test, but I did take a dose yesterday. Will Levocetirizine affect the outcome of the test in any way? Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn Hydoxyzine worked wonders for me (once I got a high enough dose). I take 25 - 50 mg. every 6 hours. I had a bad rash all over my body except my face and buttocks and it stopped the itching and is clearing the rash. I wish they would have started it in Dec,. but it seems with these side effects we are all re-inventing the wheel. The docs seem clueless.
Avatar f tn Since my 30’s, (now 65) my right foot will swell when I’m in 80+ degree weather. After 50, the swelling is all over my body, especially feet. Nothing has worked to prevent the swelling. On 6/28 saw my Dr. for sinus issue. He diagnosed it as non-recurrent maxillary sinusitis. He prescribed two meds: 1. Amox-Clav875, 125mg tablets, twice per day. 2. Levocetirizine, 5mg, once per day at night.
Avatar m tn I know that I had a sore throat and cough, the latter gradually increasing in intensity and dryness). Now, supposedly recovering from whatever it was I got, I started having this peppery sensation in my lungs and more dry cough that wakes me up at night. Of course, my GP suggested that I take antihestamines for a while. Hayfever got to me after all. However, I really can't stand jumping out of bed EVERY NIGHT for the last 3 days, coughing and gasping for air.
5727805 tn?1378193052 My sister in law is newly pregnant and not originally from Australia. I am a new zealander so don't know much about Australian birth care. But are midwives used?? Or do you see the doctor? She is An Australian permanent resident. Here in NZ is it simple, you just contact a midwife and go from there. Is it that simple in Australia?
Avatar f tn I know I have potentially thrown the cat in amongst the pigeons but I think it is a valid topic for those in Australia suffering with Lyme Disease.
Avatar f tn Gday is there anyone in Australia on these forums having trouble with tramadol...I am in Queensland..Thanks Anyone can join in any help is great thanks everbody.......
Avatar f tn Hey, Doc~ I'm sure you understand that it isn't just any tick that will produce Lyme disease after having bitten someone. You know that they are deer ticks that have been infected, and hence carry the disease. I'm sorry about the cat. My goodness! But there's no way to tell if the tick that latched onto kitty infected the cat with Lyme or something else. (Not saying it can't have been Lyme!) I found a site that says Lyme was first documented in Australia in 1980.
582777 tn?1298456914 I just wanted to check in, since there are a few other Aussie MS'ers here. We're in Brisbane, 2km from the floodwaters, but our house is on a hill and we will stay high and dry thankfully. Hopefully our other QLD community members are also safe right now.
Avatar n tn For burning throat, gargle with salt water immediately and keep doing it. Take Montelukast+levocetirizine for 10 days one daily(0-0-1) preferably night. take multivitamins and gargle with Tantum before food, betadine(1:5) and hydrogen peroxide(1:10) after food for three days. Take dichlo for pain relieving for 2 days(1-0-1). If symptoms persist, rush to the ENT specialist.
Avatar f tn Do you think Australia will eventually use rapid hiv tests to combat the hiv rates in Australia. I know Australia has great resources but read that they have not implemented point of care rapid tests.
Avatar n tn Hi, stuffy head, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat are the symptoms of common cold due to infection or allergic rhinitis. Some viruses causing infection are rhinovirus, influenza, adenovirus, echovirus etc. Infection is transmitted through inhaling droplets and touching infected areas. Sinusitis has symptoms like feeling pressure on forehead, sinus drainage, fatigue, poor sense to smell and taste, bad breath, sore throat, ear pain etc.
Avatar n tn ve ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.
