thank you so much i have the rescue one xopenex hfa says its levalbuterol. than i have one for night its a powder its asmanex . i have been like this now for 2 months it seems to get better than last night it was not bad but woke me up at 1 could not sleep for coughing and wheezing and scared i was going have a bad attack and die from it , so i need the inhaler just to scared to take it. so are these ok or will the xop cause the heart speed. thank you so much.

For starters, I'd see your doctor and let them know you are having exercise induced asthma problems. May I ask what controller asthma meds are? (Inhaler & pills, aside from albuterol or levalbuterol.) Prednisone should be a last resort anymore. Leukotriene inhibitors such as montelukast (Singulair), and Advair (diskus or HFA inhaler) are better choices for controller medications. There's other options, too, I'm just mentioning the two I use.

Xopenex® Inhalation Solution (levalbuterol) is a short acting inhaled medicine, a rescue medicine, with fewer side effects than similar medicines used for the relief of acute asthma symptoms. They may not be verbal at all or may be delayed or have disordered speech. My son is HFA and is verbal, but is also echolalic (again both those with autism and aspergers can be echolalic, which is an indication of their language difficulties because this demonstrates they don't learn language in the same way that we do.) Hello. I'm 16, 5'6 and 118lbs. I've had asthma since I was little and I just got a diagnosis that it was moderate persistent asthma but has worsened since I've had that diagnosis so I'm sure it's severe now. I'm on Advair 250/20 as a preventor and I have Ventolin HFA as a rescue inhaler. I take Advair twice a day, but sometimes forget to take it. I don't believe it helps prevent any symptoms or attacks whatsoever.

I am still on a Levalbuterol oral inhaler. I was also getting facial hives, but they did not itch, I did not mention that to my doctor and from my reading I wonder if I should have. For the hives I was prescribed Zyrtec 10mg. Previously I had been taking Benadryl, but it was making me very tired and causing me to sleepwalk/sleep eat. Before that I took Loratidine 10mg as needed for allergy symptoms.

my chest gets heavy off and on throughout the day I take Combivent Respimat 20-100 MCG/ACT IN AERS, Levalbuterol HCL 1.25 MG/3ML IN NEBU 2X a day before Advair, Singular 10 MG PO TABS, Advair Diskus 500-50 MCG/Dose in AEPB 2X a day, Qvar 80 MCG/ACT IN AERS 2 puffs 2X a day for my severe asthma and I do get relief from the Combivent only to have the chest heaviness come back hours later.

My 6 year old grandaughter often has to take Xopenex HFA for asthma related issues. It makes her extremely irritable, she has a bad temper and in general is very mooddy? Is this a side affect?

The only new med that I have been taking in the past 2 weeks is Ventolin HFA (Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosol) for my coughing after coming down with flue. Santos, You can please name those tests which can be asked to attending doctor to order, in PFT test it shows- FEF25-75 NOW IS SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED SUGGESTING INCREASED SMALLER -AIRWAY AIRFLOW OBSTRUCTION, Attending doctor started VENTOLIN HFA , getting weakness,trembling with this only usage of three times, please guide-

I was put on an HFA inhaler, after trying to fight it for two months, and it had zero effect on my lungs after two weeks. Breathing treatments were ineffective, and I was put on advair, 100/50. I quit smoking about two and a half weeks ago, and have been taking my advair for about three weeks, and I still have not improved at all. Should I continue this treatment or maybe see another doctor???

I am now using my nebulizer twice a day with a mixture of Levalbuterol and Hypertonic saline 7%. Mucus now all white again. Hopefully I can keep my lungs flushed now and prevent more recurrences of pneumonia and pseudonymous. I have already had my heart checked because of shortness of breath just to be sure and my heart is good, no blockage, etc. I appreciate the responses.
