i take the leflunomide (arava) but also take pills for the reflux, which does help. I take renitidine i believe it is called. I found it worked pretty good for the swelling myself. I am also on the Embrel, but still do not have R.A under control. I just wanted to say that the arava was the best drug i have taken up until i was put on the embrel. I live in B.
He has been on a combination of Arava 20 mg ( Hydroxychloroquine) and Plaquenil (Leflunomide) . He has been going severly downhill since January and has lost 40 pounds, has constant mucous drainage that he chokes on especially after meals, and has severe shortness of breath. Can these symptoms be a result of the medications he is taking? Is it safe for him to take two synthetic DMARDS at the same time?

Hello. I thought I would give you ladies some information I've just read about the drug Reglan. I thought it would be important because I've read that several women have been given this drug to increase Milk production.
With the recent Black Box warning:
"Feb. 27, 2009 -- The FDA has ordered a "black box" warning, the FDA's strongest warning, for drugs that contain metoclopramide, which is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders.
In my opinion, taking a drug which cures me, even though it has a black box warning, is a whole lot better than avoiding that drug and ending up in a pine box six feet under instead.
However, one might be surprised at the drugs that have black box warnings. Many are very commonly taken and no one thinks twice about it.
I was prescribed Elidel, however at first I was concerned with the black box warning and asked my doctor for a prescription skin barrier cream instead called EpiCeram to try first. Anyways, I have used the EpiCeram for a couple months along with a penis vitamin cream call Man 1 Man Oil and Emu Oil also. It seems as though my condition has improved somewhat, but not completely and I am wondering whether or not I should try the Elidel now since I want to get this resolved faster!
My parents black long haired cat has turned orange. We're really confused. It wasn't sudden, it has happened over a few years. She is about 10 or 11 years old, spends most of her time outside. According to the web, Strattera carries with it a "black box warning" - the most serious warning a prescription med can carry and still be on the market - that strattera has been linked to suicidal thoughts in children.
I agree with Margy - I would call that doing terribly on strattera. I'm not quite sure what behaviors strattera has helped with, but a child with new suicide thoughts are about the worst thing I can think of.
I do want a girl but ill probably have another boy which I'm okay with.
If you want to be surprised too you could have the doctor wrote it down and put it in an envelope take it to the party store and bring a box like I'll be doing tell them to put the ballrooms in the box and you'll return for it but not to tell you Haha.
