I thought it was a strep and asked for a swab test. Couple days later doctor confirmed its nothing. I had tonsillitis (swollen tonsils) before I had sex with her.
Difficulty swallowing is an ocasional side effect of levothroyxine, and the reasons are unclear. It was reported as a side effect several times to the FDA, but they have not altered the PDR handout. As for your other symptoms, you haven't elaborated on them, so it is impossible to comment. In general, most physicians address "one single issue" per visit.
Disphagia (the medical term for difficulty swallowing) is indeed something associated with MS. I would speak to your doctor about it.

I have been experiencing difficulty swallowing but it has progressed to near severe. Even swallowing water can be very difficult. I believe that anxiety plays a role regarding my difficulty swallowing but it is not the sole reason. However, anxiety may be the reason it has gotten progressively worse. I had an echo and Hida scan(I think its called) that yielded no results.
I am diagnosed with a multinodular goiter and am awaiting an appointment with an ENT. Currently I have difficulty swallowing and my neck and jaw is constantly swolen and painfull. How do I cope with that? Painpill do not work.

My dog seems to have a lot of difficulty swallowing when he eats or drinks and he ends up hacking and coughing most of it up on the floor. He also coughs up a lot of phlegm when he gets up in the morning and he purse-lip breaths.
He also has a bad mouth odor. I had his teeth cleaned about 8 months ago, but this is a different odor.

My maternal grandfather died of ALS but all 4 of his children are in their 60's and have no symptoms yet. I feel like I trip on my right foot more often than the average person. How common is vocal hoarseness in MS? Does it go away? My voice has become very hoarse/low in the past few days, which is something I've only experienced once before (after surgery, because that tube was down my throat). Also, I'm having a hard time swallowing liquids, particularly water.
No matter how hard I try to swallow correctly, some water feels like it's going down the wrong tube and I start coughing/choking on it.
Over the next few days I began to lose my voice and had problems swallowing but did not have fever, body aches etc. Nor did I feel sick although I sounded horrible. I wnet to a Doctor before getting on my return flight and he said he thought I had laryngitis likely caused by a viral infection. Therefore, he did not prescribe antibiotics.

There are many conditions which can cause difficulty in speaking at higher pitches. Voice misuse and overuse are common causes. Acute laryngitis caused by allergies, viral infection, chronic laryngitis and laryngoesophageal reflux all can cause hoarseness and voice difficulties. Rare but serious causes producing these symptoms are vocal cord paralysis and vocal cord tumours.Please see your Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor) for an evaluation.
Pain/difficulty swallowing, fatigue, unable to speak loudly or at all, hard to breathe in with my mouth. Feels like there something in my throat, moving my neck hurts, touching my Adam's Apple hurts, laying down sleep hurts. Please someone help me.. Can anyone give me any direction to go in?
You just posted that your GP gave you "antibiotics" which is usually prescribed for the typical signs and symptoms of a throat infection.....IF your lost voice and difficulty swallowing was due to MS, you wouldn't have signs of a throat infection and require antibiotics.
It's a huge anxiety leap to already be worrying or even thinging about a feeding tube.....

For the past few years I have had difficulty initiating the swallowing process. Sometimes I find that it is harder than others, but I can't figure out what causes this. It feels like somewhere between my nose and mouth is swollen, making the opening to swallow smaller and feels kind of like swallowing while holding your nose. Once I swallow, I'm fine it's just that it takes a lot of effort to swallow.

After a long period time(about 6 months) of worries due to my finance troubles. Suddenly I started to have swallowing difficulty symptom. I went to 3 doctors here in New York City. But,they all gave me the similar medicine such as nexium,losec... but those drugs never able to heal my swallowing problem at all. I went back to another doctor again, he request me for barium esophagram test and cat scan to see if I have other problems in my upper organs. The results all come out with fine.
