And if your nurse friend is willing, have her take orthostatic blood pressures- take it after you've been lying down for about 10 minutes, take it after you've been standing for about two minutes & take your pulses lying and then standing too. I'd be interested to know the results.

I feel better when I wake and sleep like a log now. In time I will go get the egg sub and many other subs. Till then I eat one full meal a day and work on the rest. Day by day.....Sometimes its worth the pain to be able to eat a full meal. Thanks for the heads up.. I will work on that.

I have been having light headed(dizzy spells) through out the day I am functional but I am wondering could this be from medication that I am taking called angeliq (estrogin/Depoestrogin) or my sinuses which have been god awfully since christmas.

Since it is associated with your not eating and then you get dizzy it sounds like a blood sugar problem. Dizzynes and light headedness can be caused by blood pressure issues and other things. I would see a GP and check your fasting blood sugar and blood pressure. They may want to do a glucose tolerance test to see if you are hypoglycemic or diabetic. It may just be that you get low in suger and other nutrients such as protein and get lite headed.

Im almost 39 wks and have been feeling light headed all day today. I have swollen fingers and I have no idea why I'm so light headed. Ladies should I be worried? At my doctors appointment yesterday my blood pressure was a little high do you think it's bc of that?

I have been getting dizzy before I would fall asleep at night. That would happen once a month at best for the last 4 years, thought nothing of it. Since then I have been to the ER 3 times do to waking up in the middle of the night feeling dizzy and anxious? My doctor had me go and get a scope done of my esophigous and found I had GERD(Esophigitis). They gave me a steroid called Flovent to take for 6 weeks, and also my MD had proscribed me Prilosec 20mg 2x a day.

being light headed and dizzy is almost always associated with blood flow to the brain and if your blood pressure is low it can cause that sensation.. I would recommend seeing your doctor, there could be a hormonal imbalance going on or a number of different things... keep me posted on what you find out and best of luck to you!

How far along are you? I know low iron can cause you to get light headed. Also I think maybe low blood pressure can have that result too but not positive.

i have been feeling light headed and real dizzy for the last few months.

I've been getting light headed a lot and I told my doctor and he said it's OK just make sure I don't pass out cause I might get hurt 0_o I was kinda looking for a better answer than that ... i keep having episodes where I get light headed and feels like my heart stops a beat and I feele like I will pass out and have to hold on to something because I feel like I'm about to fall over. but this is getting worse, dr did an ekg and said it did not look good to him so I'm scheduled for a tread mill test this coming wednesday. i've also been having pain in my upper chest I'm female 56yrs.

TeamHarmonMom, I can't tell what you're saying. You've had a car wreck due to being light headed, and now you're trying to run? I don't think running is great if you've already had a car wreck from light-headedness, and I'm not sure where the "thank goodness" comes in to play. If you're not eating enough, certainly that would be something to pursue.

I feel pretty light headed, especially when I lay down to try and sleep. My blood pressure is normal, I've drank tonssss of water and Gatorade. I've eaten. Have no idea why I feel like this. Yesterday night I got up from my computer chair to get a drink and started to get light headed as I was walking down the hallway. When I sat back down I got the sweats. Light-headedness can have many causes. Most commonly I think it has to do with blood pressure and/or heart rate. It could also be low blood sugar. You should see your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I am a 23 year old female who has been experiencing a strange problem for several years now. I become incredibly tired, weak, and light headed after I blow dry my hair. Sometimes I faint.
