I know januvia can cause joint pains. Did she have these pains bedore she started taking her meds? It can also be totally unrelated.

I have pain in the very upper back of my legs and the inside of my legs where the thigh meets the body. It began a few weeks ago. I am 64 and have been a type 2 diabetic for 5 years. I also have been treated for hypertension and high cholesterol levels since the age of 50. I take daily Glucophage 500 x 2, Januvia 100, Actos 30 (newly prescribed), Lisinopril 40, Amlodopine 10 (newly prescribed), and HCTZ 25. What do you think is the cause of my pain? Thanks.

I take (2) 500mg of metformin at breakfast and supper. I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?

I would love to have those numbers.. i have to workout like crazy and eat very little to get close to those and thats also with taking another med with the metformin. I would say something is very wrong with what they are trying to do.

Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250. Was on glyburide. Had trouble with BS dropping as low as 40. Doc thought I would do better with this drug. I have only one kidney so was prescribed a 50mg dose. Will it regulate after I have been on for awhile?

While in the hospital for heart related problems my doctors found that I had the D word. I refuse to accept this as I have worked so hard to avoid having the D word. I was sent home with a monitor which I refuse to use (no fear of needles just using the monitor means acceptance). I am on Januvia 50 mg and Amaryl 1mg. I started the metformin at half the dosage since i am 13lbs lighter on friday night, today i am in severe abdominal pain, belching, horrible gas, nauseous, and vomiting which smells very acidic. Could this be too much ketones, or the medicine? My gallbladder is good, had (endoscopy and nuc med gastric emptying) was told i had mild gastritis due to reflux and mild gastroparisis. I have never felt this discomfort before.

hello every- my dad recently had a stress test that he failed- they sent him to get his arteries checked and found that two of them were clogged. he just got a stent placed and they gave him different medication. My dad already is a type 2 diabetic.

My other systems are, numbing in my left arm, pain in my left jaw and some pain in my back. My doctors continue to readjust my blood pressure medicine and says this should work… It has been a week since I was released from the hospital. The adjusting of my medicine is not working.. I have notified my doctor and another readjustment of medicine was made, it still isn't working. Does anyone have any clues of what is going on with me?

Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.

When I came off it, my joint pain returned and my rheumy said that was normal and was 'probably' a side effect from the withdrawl. He said it should go away a few weeks after being totally off the pred. I hope this is true for you.

My throat closed. I got steroids and the hives got better. Then the joint pain kicked in. My hands and right shoulder were so painful I couldn't use/move them. The symptoms would go away and return (the joint pain not hives). My shoulder hasn't bothered me lately but my hands and fingers still hurt. Did this happen to anyone and can you offer any advice? 81 year old Mom on Glip/Metform 5-500 1 1/2 pills breakfast-lunch-dinner and 50mg Januvia breakfast and dinner. Can these be increased or is insulin next?

I have joint pain in my knees and elbows, weakness in knees after kneeling down and trying to stand up. I have numbness that comes and goes in my feet. My chemo/raidiation treatments ended a year ago. Are these aches and pains caused by the after effects of the drugs and radiation? I also have trouble taking antibiotics or pain meds. I seems to get every side effect listed. Alcohol of any type bothers me also. I use to enjoy a glass of wine but no longer.

i want my life back, ive tried to work through the pain and some days i can but others its horrible pain. im a pretty positive person and ill downplay the pain and symtoms but i really need help.
