Avatar m tn Today, my rash is on 50% of my body and the spots are also here. Do you think eczema could cure with fluconazole and itraconazole ? What are your point of view ?
Avatar m tn I used fluconazone but it disappear for few months but come again after some time.
Avatar f tn Consulted on phone (as I stay in Zambia) with a Dermatologist and gave all the medicine history who advised for 10 day course of Itraconazole-200mg (1-0-0), Fluconazole-150mg(1-0-0), Hydroxyzine-10 mg(1/2 morning n 1/2 evening) and apply Luliconazole lotion. Today is 4th day have no relief. As of today, fullr peeled off areas is resurfaced with white layers full foread and foreskin, heavy itching and frequent urination continues.
Avatar f tn Well, a lot of yeast are resistant to antibiotics that end in azole, like fluconazole . But Itraconazole is a stronger anti-fungal. Usually, if you take it for 3 weeks it clear it up in 60% of people. What country do you live in? In the UK they have lozenges of Amphoteracin B that usually works on the resistant strains. But it is only given by IV in the U.S. How long has it been since you have been taking the Itraconazole? You have to finish the course and see if it clears up.
Avatar f tn Hi, that is good. Itraconazole is much stronger than Fluconazole . So hopefully it will work. I would have just tried the over the counter Lamisil since it is the alternative to the resistant types but if you want to try the Itraconazole you can. Did you tell the doctor you might be allergic to the fluconazole or that you had a reaction to it? Since it is in the same class of drugs it make cause the same type of reaction. That is why I also suggested the Lamisil.
Avatar f tn Hello, nice to meet you. I am a young female and for about three months I've been fighting with a jock itch that will never go away. I've already been to a dermatologist and he's tried with every medicine available: from ointments like ketokonazole to even oral antifungals, you name them: itraconazole, fluconazole, Terbinafina, everything!
Avatar n tn These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil) Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone. It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
345124 tn?1234483278 You may want to try a prescription nasal spray with an anti-fungal in it (itraconazole or fluconazole usually do the trick) These kill fungus trapped in the sinus
Avatar n tn It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days. What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
Avatar f tn ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, terbinafine ( I have tried these 4 drugs in oral and topical form) I have also tried selsun shampoo and all of these have failed. I was wondering if there was anymore hope for me? Is there anymore antifungal pill I can take? Due to my rash not responding well to 3 azole antifungals does this mean it won't respond to any of the other azole antifungals? And are there anyother antifungal that are effective that arnt azole? P.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with a mild yeast infection. My doctor prescribed fluconazole pills but it only helped a little bit. I'm still having symptoms. I think she mentioned that she could prescribe a cream. Is there a difference between over the counter creams vs prescription creams prescribed by a doctor?
Avatar f tn What is the connection between itraconazole and hemmorhagic stroke in an otherwise healthy male with no pre-existing conditions to cause a stroke?
Avatar m tn Being uncircumcised, and having had a fungal infection before, I assumed it was that. Started taking Itraconazole, an oral anti fungal med, as well as applying clotrimazole, which is a cream. I did this for a week, and then spots just about disappeared. Two days later they were back, so I went to see a doctor. He said it appears to be fungal, prescribed Fluconazole, another anti fungal med, and I took those for 3 days, as well as continuing you with the cream.
Avatar m tn I went to a doctor and got prescribed itraconazole 100 mg, 2 a day for 20 days, plus miconazole cream. Again, it worked, but again it came back after stopping the treatment. Second time I went to a doctor I got prescribed fluconazole 200 mg, 1 pill per week for 12 weeks, plus clotrimazole cream. I have taken 5 out of the 12 pills, so 7 more weeks to go.
Avatar n tn However, if the patient remains symptomatic after 4 weeks, therapy with itraconazole, 200 mg daily for 6 to 12 weeks, can be given. Patients who have severe outbreak-associated histoplasmosis and all immunosuppressed patients should be treated. Initial therapy with amphotericin B, 0.7 to 1 mg/kg daily, can be followed by oral itraconazole after a favorable response is noted. Antifungal therapy should be given to all patients with chronic pulmonary histoplasmosis.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
