I had gay anal sex with an anonymous person, but the condom broke, so I went to an ER and was prescribed PEP (Truvuda and Isentress). The pharmacist told me that I have to be extremely meticulous about taking the pills on time (Truvuda every 24 hours at around 7:30pm, and Isentress every 12 hours at both 7:30pm and 7:30am.
I set my alarm for 7:30am to take the Isentress.
I had a gay massage 3 weeks ago. The man who gave me a massage kissed and "fingered" me a few times and later on he "sat" on me. The penetration lasted about 10 seconds before I pulled out, and needless to say it was unprotected. Within 3 hours, I saw my doctor to discuss and he said my risk is low, but because it was unprotected sex with a gay sex worker, there is still a risk. He put me on truvada + isentress.
I had a risk exposure and had a base hiv test 4th gen ab/ag 25 hours after pep or after 2 truvadas and 3 isentress. Could this affect the negative result of the base test? Is the base test considered conclusive? The only risk exposure is no longer since the other party hiv test was negative and the exposure was low risk.

I'm wondering what my HIV risk would be if my partner took off the condom when I wasn't looking. (I'm female.) He didn't ejaculate. He did ejaculate in my mouth once.
I had a respiratory virus/no fever about four days after the first exposure that lasted about 2 weeks. I had a few blotches that looked like pimples on my chest that didn't go away until today. These symptoms came and went in stages and were all very mild.
PEP. So I was placed on Prezista, Truvada, and Norvir and developed a rash from it that my MD says is from the medication. I of course freaked out thinking it was an ARS symptom so he changed my regimen to Combivir and Insentress. He initially wanted me to wait three days to restart (I have been on the previous combo since Jan 17th, so a little over a week).
I had a sexual encounter and they have put me on truvada and isentress for 4 weeks. It is one week over but I have very bad stomach. I usually have a chronic gastritis due to helyco bacter that I have not managed so far to get rid of.
My doctor said I could take Nexium 20 which is my usual medication for this matter but to try no to take it everyday beacaus of interaction with isentress but he is gone on vacation now and I have a really upset stomach and I dont know what to do.
t notice It was cold out and my eye was tearing so I wiped It later I looked at my hand and noticed blood stains on it and then looked at my face that also had blood from wiping my eye I went to the er and they game me truvada and isentress and a week later the raining pills today I was working and got a needle stuck in me from a patient I transport the red bio cases for that has needles in them were I dispose of it.
I'm on truvada and isentress I have 14 days left due to the condom breaking I asked the guy to take a or a quick test when it broke I went to CVS and bought it...he tested positive... I was on pep 4 hours afterwards...
Horrified to see rash on back and sides of trunk. Does not resemble eczema but red spots (raised with a red/dark dot in middle) other macular spots. Not closely clustered and redness does not extend from them but 20-30 interspersed on back and sides. I saw Dermotolgist who diagnosed 2 unrelated rashes: contact dermatitis and molluscum. I inquired if these are seen in ARS - he said no (became evident he had little knowledge when he disputed a rash on the trunk can be symptom of ARS).
Hello - I understand that oral with a person who is HIV+ is low risk, but would it be a good idea to take PEP anyway? My concern is the side effects of the Isentress and Truvada combination. I have the medication, but if infection is very highly unlikely, I think I shouldn't. Friends are telling me not to worry and doctor says it is up to me (which I know). Opinions?
I took them for about 9 days and then this past Thursday (1/26) I wokeup with a rash and I freaked out thinking it was an ARS rash. As a child I was allergic to sulfa drugs and have since stayed away from them. I ran to n HIV doc and he looked at it and said that it was an allergy to the medicine. Said that that would be about the time that I would show an allergy. so he changed my course to Combivir/Isentress. I have been taking Benadryl as well.
ll be the instance of acquiring HIV with such superficial and brief possible penetration. I began PEP treatment (Truvada and Isentress) within 48 hours. He never ejaculated throughout the night and I didn't feel pre cum at any time but I know that doesn't mean pre cum wasn't there.
Am I at potential risk for HIV transmission given he fingered me and may have caused potential tiny cuts combined with the brief/minimal possibility of penetration?
27 day ago i had a condom broke in a glory hole in an anal encounter being i the receptive (pasive, bottom???) and the other man finish (cum???) inside me..... In 4 hour i start PEP with Truvada + Isentress. I dont know the other man vih status. Today 27 days later i've do a DUO TEST (combo) with antigen p24 + vih +vih2. Results are NEGATIVE, but, is this results decisives????? May PEP delay a positive result. Can i have a breath with this result????
