I had gay anal sex with an anonymous person, but the condom broke, so I went to an ER and was prescribed PEP (Truvuda and Isentress). The pharmacist told me that I have to be extremely meticulous about taking the pills on time (Truvuda every 24 hours at around 7:30pm, and Isentress every 12 hours at both 7:30pm and 7:30am.
I set my alarm for 7:30am to take the Isentress.
I had a risk exposure and had a base hiv test 4th gen ab/ag 25 hours after pep or after 2 truvadas and 3 isentress. Could this affect the negative result of the base test? Is the base test considered conclusive? The only risk exposure is no longer since the other party hiv test was negative and the exposure was low risk.

I was helping a person that sliped in the snow a few weeks ago on my way to get a sandwich I noticed my eyes were tearing so I started to wipe my eye and later noticed there was blood on my hand and face so I thought I must have gotten in my eye I was given pep to help have been taking isentress and truvada given from id department in New York Metropolitan Hospital
I had a sexual encounter and they have put me on truvada and isentress for 4 weeks. It is one week over but I have very bad stomach. I usually have a chronic gastritis due to helyco bacter that I have not managed so far to get rid of.
My doctor said I could take Nexium 20 which is my usual medication for this matter but to try no to take it everyday beacaus of interaction with isentress but he is gone on vacation now and I have a really upset stomach and I dont know what to do.

I'm on truvada and isentress I have 14 days left due to the condom breaking I asked the guy to take a or a quick test when it broke I went to CVS and bought it...he tested positive... I was on pep 4 hours afterwards...
Also, I tried to get PEP drugs (Truvada and Isentress) at a local urgent care clinic. The doctor there refused to do so because he claims these drugs could damage liver and must be used within 5 hours to be effective. Can one 30 day treatment damage liver? He claimed I would need a whole bunch of lab work for him to even consider giving me prescription (check my liver and STD status, which he claimed are required by his company, Concentra).
Does this make sense?
I cant believe I just got over a scare and now this! My pep meds are Truvada and Isentress. The docotor said these were the best drugs with the least side effects but after reading things online the side effects sound like thiese drugs can really screw me up? Is anyone familiar with these - does everyone have these side effects? Are these drugs as damaging as HIV and should I stay on them? Is there any chance of me living through this??
Hello - I understand that oral with a person who is HIV+ is low risk, but would it be a good idea to take PEP anyway? My concern is the side effects of the Isentress and Truvada combination. I have the medication, but if infection is very highly unlikely, I think I shouldn't. Friends are telling me not to worry and doctor says it is up to me (which I know). Opinions?
ll be the instance of acquiring HIV with such superficial and brief possible penetration. I began PEP treatment (Truvada and Isentress) within 48 hours. He never ejaculated throughout the night and I didn't feel pre cum at any time but I know that doesn't mean pre cum wasn't there.
Am I at potential risk for HIV transmission given he fingered me and may have caused potential tiny cuts combined with the brief/minimal possibility of penetration?

Results are NEGATIVE, but, is this results decisives????? May PEP delay a positive result. Can i have a breath with this result????

I later went to my doctor and he prescribed me truvada and isentress which was about a month later after the " incident". To be honest, I have no clue how I got the cut but I am scared of what could happen. What are chances of me catching HIV if she intentionally scratch me with a needle? Can HIV transmit from a small cut like mines? I read online, HIV need direct access to the bloodstream to be transmit, how true is that?
