Common Questions and Answers about Is patanol generic

pataday

Avatar n tn Zaditor is NOT the same as Patanol or Pataday. My doctor told me not to mix and match. NOW AARP Rx is sending me a generic Olopatadine HCL by Rising Labs and I am paying the same price as the Brand Patanol which works great for me. I live in NE NJ..
Avatar m tn I bought a bottle of Patanol eye drops about a month and three weeks ago, I found the box a couple days ago and noticed on the box that it says discard thirty days after opening... The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....
Avatar n tn The only change I have made in my life style is to take Patanol eye drops for allergy eyes. I have been using them once daily for 4 months. Could it be that this antihistamine can be causing this increase in my blood pressure? I am allergic to the drugs used for controling blood pressure and prior to this successfully lowered my pressure by exercise and diet.It is normal for me to have a reading of 130 over 80. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall.
Avatar f tn I read the other threads regarding "twitching" in an eye and that is what originally led me to this site. I am under a lot of stress (caring for my 88-year old mother, my husband has had two open-heart surgeries and my little dog is terminally ill) and I am not sleeping well (never have been a sound sleeper). Approximately six years ago I was diagnosed with Posterior Vitreous Detachment in both eyes and the "symptoms" nearly make me crazy!!
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to use Patanol and Xiloial together. But she said İ should use one of them first, then apply the other. Cuz one of them is gel or whatever. But now i cant remember which one she said that İ should use first. Can you please help me?
Avatar n tn My eyes become itchy and watery. I have used patanol in the past but the eye Dr is now recommending patasol which is very expensive. I want to try Zyrtec d instead of Zyrtec which gives me some releif. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
Avatar n tn thanks for commenting back they are really good now not bllodshot and a little runny and not to bad today
Avatar n tn Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.
Avatar m tn A few months ago I was walking to my friends house and had something fly into my eye. As soon as I went to his place I took my contact lenses off and tried rubbing the foreign body out with water, but only managed to scratch my cornea in the process. Then I put my contact lenses back on not knowing what I had just done and my left eye had an infection, my eye was sensitive to light, it felt itchy, every time i blinked it hurt VERY bad.
Avatar m tn Eye redness is not always from an allergy. And if it is, you would need to find out what excatly causes it. Visit an ophtalmologist or allergologist to have some tests.
Avatar f tn My 5 yr old son is suffering from vernal conjunctivitis since last year. At the onset of spring, his eyes become red and then in a month , the limbus area in both the eyes get swelled. Last year, he was treated with patanol and then FML for the inflammation. This year, again when FML(Tapered dose starting with 3 times) and Tacroz( 0.03% , once at bedtime) was prescribed. We took a second opinion and Lotepred( tapered dose starting with 4 times/day) was prescribed. My questions are, 1.
Avatar f tn My significant other has caught pink eye and has had it for approximately two weeks now. In the first few days, he had the typical symptoms: redness in the eyes, a little swelling, some itching. After those few days up until now, he's become highly sensitive to light, his eye lids are very swollen, his eyes are highly irritable he can barely keep them open, and what's worse is that the thin membrane covering his eye balls appears to have 'blistered'.
Avatar m tn He has been on an oral antihistimine (claritin) for many years and uses Patanol and theratears. He was told he could no longer wear contact lenses (that's fine) and hasn't since his diagnoses. There is little change to his GPC even after using a prescription eye drop with steroids and antibiotic. His opthamologist never asked if he used any face cleanser. He uses a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash, in addition to Clearasil pads.
Avatar n tn It was initially thought to be allergies, but the Patanol did not help. Opthamologist then prescribed tobradex, which worked until I came off it. We then moved to longer tobradex usage that tapered over two weeks. Came back again once I came off. Then moved to oral antibiotic for one week and zylet - no results. Now oral antibiotic for two weeks - no results.
Avatar f tn I will also do the drops. I have a prescription for patanol eye drops that I use during the fall hayfever season. It is odd though my eyes are Never this bad during hayfever season!
Avatar n tn s so silght that it is not the cause of the ghost images. He prescribed Patanol and said to come back in 4 weeks. So far -- it's been two days -- the eyedrops aren't helping at all. Couple of other things: About two months ago, I had a CT scan of the head and a blood test done because I experienced dizziness and nausea. The cause turned out to be a sinus infection, but no other problems have been turned up.
Avatar n tn Allergies are an immune system problem, and can be very difficult to treat. This is a problem of an overactive immune system that is treating non-harmful materials as harmful. One way to deal with it is to try an elimination diet, where you get rid of most everything you eat and slowly add in foods one at a time, since food allergies are quite common.
1134609 tn?1269272200 It has been an interesting process, but I think I have finally figured out the medication issues. Here's the lay of the land: 1. I have always been sensitive to medications; they either work for me or the SEs are unbearable. 2. I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years.
Avatar m tn We had the same issue with 2 of our female Dobi's (Reagan & Taylor). Reagan, poor thing, got the worst of it. Apparently, some breeds are more susceptible to it than others. What happens is, when they get fixed, they're basically losing the ability to make estrogen, which is needed for muscle development.
7991152 tn?1396061810 Levoxyl is not a generic. It is a brand name, just like Synthroid is. It comes from the same manufacturer every time you refill your script. Think of them like Coke and Pepsi. Both are brand names. Both are colas. Some people like one better than the other. All the other "colas" you can buy are like generic levothyroxine. Though all are cola, each has some difference ingredients in it, like dyes, etc., depending on who makes them.
Avatar n tn Hi my son is two years old going on three and i noticed about four days ago that he blinks excessively while watching television.. when the tv is off and we do anything else other than tv he really dosent do it.. its really mainly as soon as he starts watching tv.. that triggers it for some reason but i also noticce tha one eye is a little irritated with red right on the corner of the eye.. i took him to out family dr and was given patanol eye drops..
Avatar m tn I am using patanol and vigamox. Problem is i have like a white discharge on my eye and it does not like to come out. I use a hot compress twice a day then i try to rinse my eye and flush my eye as well. Nothing it just remains in my eye. Most of the time i go to bed and it still there. When the white discharge remains in my eye for too long it gets hard and crust and sticks to my skin this hearts really bad.
