everytime i go new medication which has no effect!!!! If my symtoms show something the doctors have missed PLEASE let me know . also my mucus is the normal color (not yellow etc).

I was wondering if any of you on the site who have Hep C, who have ever had experience with using a prescription allergy medicine that is a nasal spray? I had taken Flonase in the past, never really cared for the backwash it has. But, I've been seeing an allergist because my allergies have really bothered me this year. He prescribed a medicine that is a nasal spray called Astelin.
t find any info that Azelastine would help with that problem. BUT IT DID! there is no doubt in my mind. Its not a coincidence. My question is why would it help?
About a year ago I developed what I thought was the flu. I went to the dr. Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems.
ve also been taking Atenolol and spraying copious amount of Astelin nasal spray up my nose several times in the evening and at night. I have even been letting it run down the back of my throat and swallowing it because it's the only thing that makes me feel at least somewhat relaxed and sleepy.
However, I have begun to wonder if the Astelin and/or Atenolol might be actually aggravating my anxiety symptoms and making me feel worse.
In allergic testing, the severity of the allergic reaction is tested and based on this the therapy is planned. The dilution of the agent used and the course of therapy are planned according to the severity and with adequate monitoring the person is desensitized. In the meantime practice good breathing exercises, humidify your room and do steam inhalations.

I am ok during the day, when my throat momentarily clogs, the phlegm bubble pops and I am fine, but at night my brain is convinced I am drowing and all sorts of things apparently happen, namely I wake up with the fight or flight sensation, when this happens 4 or 5 times over a 20 minute period sleep, anxiety takes over and sleep is over, I can go days without sleep, then back back to the doctor for mor narcotics.

One last thing I wanted to mention was that swollen ankles seems to be a more common sx with recovering addicts, but your husband has other issues as well, any other reason could result in swollen ankles. Another thing is his age, he is the same age as I am.
She prescribed Astelin, a nasal spray antihistamine and described the allergic reaction as a sort of systemic thing and that the astelin should clear it all up. That was Wednesday. I've been using it as told since then and I've only really noticed a very very slight improvement. Sinuses still suck and the throat hurts unless I'm popping advil. I'm wondering if this is normal and it's gonna take a bit for this to clear up or what.
I am taking allergy shots, which are helping a lot for the runny nose, cough etc for my allergies. I was tested and allergic to 22 of the 44 things in the tests. My problem is after I am outside for about 2 hours, my eyes start itching, running, and they feel like they have gravel in them. By the time I get home from work (outside or in car 8 hrs a day) I have rubbed my eyes raw. My opthamologist perscribed Optivar to help. It helps somewhat, but not enough.
