Ipratropium inhalation

Common Questions and Answers about Ipratropium inhalation

atrovent

Avatar f tn There are many philosophies, but one protocol suggests albuterol should be used first and ipratropium five minutes later. Try the foradil (formoterol fumarate inhalation power). It too is expensive, but the company provides free samples.
Avatar f tn You may need intravenous antibiotics, or steam inhalation or oxygen therapy, or bronchodilators. Medications such as asthalin, trebutaline, steroids, ipratropium bromide, and chromolyn sodium can be tried. Please consult a doctor immediately. Take care!
Avatar n tn Improvement with lying down suggests that a cause of your cough might be postnasal drip. In addition, if the cough, even in part, is due to asthma, the Combivent® Inhalation Aerosol (ipratropium bromide and albuterol sulfate) is inadequate therapy for asthma. There are times when cough is the primary symptom or the only symptom of asthma so a trial of an inhaled steroid would be warranted.
Avatar n tn hi, my question is can we mix albuterol, ipratropium, pulmacort together and the order is give these medication together by nebulizer.
Avatar n tn And you need your physician to prescribe TWO solutions. Ipratropium Bromide inhalation solution .02 (0.5 mg/vial) and Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation solution (O.83%). There are severalissues. You will eventually acustum yourself to these solutions and they will stop working. You should have at least two weeks.Probably months, but at least two weeks before this happens. The Albuterol will make you "antsy" and nervous. If it gets too bad try the Ipratroprium alone.
Avatar m tn She prescribed Nasonex 2x2, Ipratropium bromide inhalation and Levocetirizine for 10 days. A follow up 10 days later, i was still coughing and she then prescribed Narivent which was so disgusting that i almost puked from it and Prospan (Hedera helix syrup). This did not help, yet again, and i was still coughing. Third follow up after 10 days was prescribed Nasonex again, salt water and a seretide inhaler.
Avatar f tn I would like to ask if the ipratropium inhaler is available with the combination of salbutamol and what brand?
Avatar n tn If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable. To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily. The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
1306047 tn?1333243591 m 39 and developed symptoms at 31 of tightness in the chest and inability to get a full breath in my left lung (from lots and lots of smoke inhalation). Got confirmation this week via lung xray of mild COPD which confirms 2006 and 2007 spirometry diagnosis. I've been living with it for seven years already hoping it really wasn't COPD. Well it is. It's mild COPD and I swim all the time and do yoga as well.
Avatar f tn I use Duoneb which is a combination of albuterol and ipratropium. You are making me wonder if I can manage with ipratropium alone. I have never tried it. I will ask my lung doctor. I use a portable nebulizer. With that I can take as little as I need (or as much).
757137 tn?1347196453 Side effects are restlessness, irritability and nervousness. Ipratropium blocks the effect of acetylcholine on airways (bronchi) and nasal passages. This is used as an alternative to Albuterol if the side effects are severe with Albuterol. This could also be used in conjunction with Albuterol, to relieve acute flare ups of Asthma. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn nasal sprays (dymista, Ipratropium Bromide), singulair, sudafed, benedryl, various antibiotics. My pcp said I had a sinus infection, but my ent says that's bs and I'm just overcongested. I just want my life back. I'd like to go to bed without fearing the awful feeling that morning brings.
Avatar n tn You and he/she will have to resort to other preparations, to include a different inhaled steroid, such as Flovent® HFA Inhalation Aerosol (fluticasone propionate), either alone or in combination with a long-acting bronchodilator, like Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) or Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder), such a combination being either Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol or Symbicort® (budesonide/formoterol fumarat
677938 tn?1226344160 I Use An Albuterol Inhalation. And Everytime I Have An Asthma Attack I Use It And It Feels Like I Cant Catch My Breath..Whats Going On? Its Had Me In The Hospital Many Of Time ??
Avatar n tn I would just focus on catching my breath and within about 10 minutes I would be fine. I went running the day after the initial inhalation and noticed that my airways were extremely restricted but not enough to stop me. After I was done my workout I was very hoarse and had more trouble than normal in regaining my breath. So I rested for about 4 or 5 days and was breathing normally and fine. I decided to go running again last night (about a week after initial inhalation.
Avatar n tn Did it really stop the fibreglass problem.
Avatar n tn There is a small possibility that you are allergic to the ipratropium bromide (Atrovent), which is one of the two components of Combivent. The other component is albuterol. Strange as it may seem, ipratropium bromide is made from PEANUTS, one of the foods that almost every asthmatic is allergic to. I am allergic to peanuts, but my combivent helps my asthma. No asthma medication will give long-lasting relief, if you are still exposing yourself to the trigger or triggers that are making you sick.
Avatar f tn Probably, a viral infection has caused the same. I do not feel you need to do much except take some steam inhalation. The dizziness that you felt is likely due to the blockage of the tube that connects the oral cavity to the ear. I am sure steam inhalation will help you. If you also get fever, I’ll suggest to consult a physician and maybe you’ll need a course of antibiotics. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
Avatar n tn I was a bit drunk at a party and went to light a cigarette, but it was windy and I accidentally inhaled some of the fumes when the flame went out due to inattention. Should I be concerned? I've felt a tad out of it, but I don't know if that's from worrying about this or from the inhalation. I just don't know how toxic a gasp of butane is, and the internet is mostly filled with horror stories about huffing.
Avatar n tn Yes, there are. Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) is one and Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) another. Each is a bronchodilator and capable of giving good relief of shortness of breath.
Avatar m tn Try steam inhalation, saline nasal drops, breathing exercises, and oral antihistamine medications and see if they help. Let us know about what your doctor tells you and keep us posted on how you are doing. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar m tn However, if the polyps are large and causing significant obstruction to nasal airflow, that would prevent contact of the steroid with the surface of the polyps, inhalation therapy alone may not suffice. In such circumstances, surgical removal may be necessary, followed by nasal steroid inhalation to prevent recurrence.
Avatar m tn Will try to have steam inhalation--do you suggest any medicine to put in water for inhalation, good support
