I purchased the Omron Portable Ultrasonic Nebulizer and am using the vials of Albuterol and Ipratropium. I can only use 1/2 vial because more than that speeds my heart up too much. Can I save the last 1/2 of the vial for later use? Does anybody know of a more affordable way to get the medicine I need? I am paying out of pocket and this economy gets harder every day it seems like.

If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable.
To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily.
The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
I try to work only with products and acrylic paints labeled “non toxic”. I used to prime with aerosol paint cans in my back yard, but gave this up, along with using other known toxins, a few years ago. But I still had maybe 20 old aerosol cans stored in the basement. I stored them in the house to maintain some temperature control, which I understand is important for safe storage. I do my brush painting in a room off the side of my basement.

You are correct in wanting to wait until you have achieved optimum benefit from the Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol, before any consideration of oxygen use. I agree with you, it is rather disgusting to have people (anyone) cough in your face. While it is disgusting however there is no risk of HIV from the aerosol exposure you experienced. Even if he was somehow infected with HIV or hepatitis, these infections have never been transmitted by cough/aerosol.
I use Duoneb which is a combination of albuterol and ipratropium. You are making me wonder if I can manage with ipratropium alone. I have never tried it. I will ask my lung doctor. I use a portable nebulizer. With that I can take as little as I need (or as much).
however, the area to be wrapped would usually use spray with an aerosol that would turn your skin kind of a sick yellow. This spray made the skin “stickier”, I’m guessing, to make the wrap hold better. I’m filling out a health report that asks the question about allergies. I would like to be able to include that spray in my answer; however, I cannot think of the name for that spray. Can you help me? Just so you know, I am from Phoenix Arizona and it is HOT here!

I did a search for interactions between Duolin (salbutamol/ipratropium bromide) and doxyfyline and didn't find anything, but a doctor would definitely be better equipped to answer your question. If your symptoms aren't getting any better, despite using the medication, you should definitely talk to your doctor.
I am allergic to cats, dogs (and pretty much all furred animals), dust, dust mites, feathers, aerosol sprays, perfumes, any small particle stuff like that. I also get wheezy when I exercize. I heard that some hidden symptoms of allergies can be depression, diarehha, frequent urination and other symptoms I have been experiencing. There is a small possibility that you are allergic to the ipratropium bromide (Atrovent), which is one of the two components of Combivent. The other component is albuterol. Strange as it may seem, ipratropium bromide is made from PEANUTS, one of the foods that almost every asthmatic is allergic to. I am allergic to peanuts, but my combivent helps my asthma.

Today I have this situation with my son that he was not stopping cough for more than 1 hour and I send him to the hospital (before I gave him 15 drops of zyrtex and 2 shots of ventolin). The doctor gave him adrenaline through aerosol and an ultracorten injecton. 10 minits after this the cough start disappearing. This is a repeat situation that I have been through months ago where it took us almost 2 week doing everyday 3 time per day aerosol with ventolin.
Current medical thinking in the United States is to use steroids only as a last resort and in tiny amount administered through an aerosol inhaler.
