I did understand and I did read your whole post. There is a difference in outpatient aftercare (NA, PA, AA) and inpatient aftercare (rehab). Rehab is obviously more intense and safer and a great thing if you're falling apart. I went and it didn't haunt me through my personal health record. It is expensive....but can you really put a price on your life and family and well being and happiness? Insurance, many times, will cover it....opiates are sometimes not covered...

Well I leave Thursdays to do an inpatient detox and rehab. After several surgeries I became dependent on oxycodone 15mg 5xday. When I first realized I was addicted I tried to ct and ended up passing out due to my Bp dropping. Then I decided to taper but my dr stopped that as well because they said I needed to have a 3rd back surgery even tho my last one was in April. I'm not walking correctly, kinda hunched over.

I am new to this forum. I have been using oxy intravenously for 3 months now. I got out of rehab and only made it one month before I went back. My life """"ks! I have hurt my parents physically and financially. They paid everything they had to put me through rehab and here I am back again. I have no money, no job and don't know where to turn. I am in my early 20s and want my life back. I was an athelete and had tons of friends.

My question is, he now wants to enroll in an inpatient rehab to address his issues is this possible so soon after surgery? The only problems he is experiencing are headaches and mild fatigue. I am having difficulty with the centers we have contacted, although no one has outright turned him down, they just beat around the bush. His follow-up appt with his neuro surgeon is in 3 weeks.

does anyone know how much it cost to goto rehab if udont have ins.? im hooked on percs for almost 2 yrs and want my life back!! i tried to wean down just had no luck and cold turkey didnt work. please help!!

inpatient rehab is a must for some, and i have been to a couple.

No seizures, no midline shift, pressure was controlled with a drain (ICPM) no shunt was needed, he takes no medication and had no broken bones. He is awake, aware and home from the inpatient rehab. He now does outpatient rehab and we also work with him at home. He is slowly improving but I was wondering if any others out there might have some ideas from their experiences to help my son relearn talking, walking, ect. any faster than it's going.

So we tried admitting him (while high) to an inpatient drug rehab. He once again said he has delusions and paranoia and even admitted to coke use. He ended up in the psychiatric unit and after a week of eval. he is outpatient with a brand new scrip of psych meds even with his violent tendencies and pissing hot for coke. Anybody know why they went outpatient when is clearly abusing his medication, taking street drugs and threatening people's lives?

I probably just need outpt rehab, but like today, I feel I need inpatient rehab. I ache all over after being clean a month. My kids can see the difference in me because before I was so complacent, now I'm just irritable when I'm here, and gone a lot trying to keep up with this nursing recovery program. I'm stressed out trying to make these deadlines. And to have to depend on my husband to carry his end of it.

After going home from the inpatient rehab center, is it necessary to follow up with visiting the the outpatient rehab center regularly or just continue at home the rehab exercise which be taught at rehab center?

what will rehab do for me? im in the process of calling the ins co to see where i can go. will they give me something to stop this crazy jittery feeling? will i be not so anxious to the point of not coping? i am comin g out of my skin. i cant take it. will rehab help? or will i be in a strange room with strange people going thru the same exact thing? i cant do this alone i just cant... i need help im just not sure what i need.... i am willing and able to go for inpatient treatment.

We are in TX and found that the outpatient rehab that was affiliated with the inpatient rehab hospital that my husband was in had water therapy.

m not certain where you live but in your situation I would recommend an inpatient detox and rehab program. The reason is you show high enthusiasm and readiness to address your addiction head on and because it is placing stress on your family, an inpatient program can provide you a safe environment in which to detox, learn new coping strategies and get established with aftercare. The inpatient programs are highly recommended for people with minimal suppot.

If I remember correctly, you're trying to come off very high doses of Fentanyl and oxycodone. And did I just read yesterday that you are done for some reason with the dr that has been prescribing the patches and won't be getting any more from that dr? Maybe I dreamed that, I'm not sure....but you are down from 200 mcg to 100 on the patches, right? All things considered, your health issues and your drug history....

What drugs is he on? He really needs to go to a rehab inpatient. It will get him clean, if he goes to NA OR AA after the treatment that helps alot. Sometimes for people it takes afew tries of getting up and falling back down, depending on the drug its not an easy road for most people to get clean.

going away to rehab is scary, but if this is what it will take to get u clean, then i suggest checking in to inpatient rehab. are u talking about crystal meth?/methadon?. getting clean is tough, beyond tough, but the fight is worth it. u need to do whatever it takes right now. i would suggest start by finding an N/A meeting. getting a good support group is essential for any addict so i hope u stick around, u can learn a lot here. best of luck to you. fight with all u have.

Ask your MD about inpatient rehab. Because w/d can be hellish. Also let your physician perhaps \\suggest a suppot program and psychotherapy, also a pain specialist that can help you w/o opiates.

Well now im in negotiations with the da and they want me to go back to in patient rehab to get the charges dropped. 28 days in rehab. ive never gotten more than 60 days while in in patient. i got my 112 by going to meetings, working and just doing ordinary stuff. I cant go back to inpatient im starting school i have a job my own apartment and im doing well. I had a court case today. Its really bugging me because my lawyer hasnt called me yet to let me know the news.

I posted last night asking if anyone could share their good and bad rehab experiences...why was that deleted? I got an email that there were 3 respnses- If anyone responded please repost! Unless there is some reason we can't share rehab experiences??

We realize he should have gone to one that had more neurological services and rehab, but the hospital social worker was virtually never available, had no voicemail, and said this is what we could do. Looking back we realize there wasn't really anyone in the hospital advocating for him at all, and we were not allowed in the hospital, and getting anyone to call us back took almost an act of God. Providence Hospital wasn't much better.

Okay I have just been informed I have to go inpatient by a counselor for rehab. I have already detoxed myself off drugs. So I wonder what will it be like, if anybody has been in a recovery inpatient facility and what to expect especially since I am already off the meds. I am trying to be open minded about this but find it ridiculous to be inpatient for detox when I've done that. I recently went through detox and rehab for Opana ER, which was long and very challenging. Now I am on 12 mg Suboxone a day taken in three doses of 4mg. I have just started to get what I think are withdrawal symptoms between dosing--muscles in my upper and mid-back tighten up and ache and I get a little anxious. Inpatient Rehab or Intensive Outpatient rehab. I am in a foreign country right now so I have to wait about two months until I can begin whatever treatment I end up choosing. I am so ready to get clean. It so very hard to taper myself off when I have basically an unlimited supply. I know I need to do something. I am lucky enough to have great parents who have told me that I can go to any type of treatment anywhere I choose.

My 18 yr old granddaughter has been arrested for calling her boyfriend who had a restraining order against her. She also has pending, stealing cigarettes, verbal abuse to a nurse, breaking a car window in an argument with someone & we did not post bail & would like to get power of attorney & see if we can have her put in a rehab. She has been on a downward spiral for at least 4 years. We know she drinks & are pretty sure that she takes various drugs. What can we do?
