i had a cmg test done today and the nusre told me it was the worst case of bladder spasm that she has ever seen and brought in other medical staff to see this they have put me on vesicare tablets 10 mg and i am wondering if there is anything else can be done i am worried in case it means i need to be catherterised because of this how likely is this ?
was clear so they put me on Vesicare for overactive bladder on 10/12. I was only on it for 3 days before leaving for Vegas on the 14th - which was an AMAZING time and I had no urinary problems the whole time there (6 days) ... now I don't know if the medicine began working right away or if the whole symptomatic period I had was just due to my anxiety?
I am at present taking metformin 2 tablets a day & 2 1/2 Gliclazide the metformin doesnt agree with me so would rather not increase these I 'm asking please if is it possable that if i take the drug sitagliptin it would mean i could reduce the gliclazide and stop the mrtformin my Diabetes is well controlled on the whole but my nurse as requested i increase the glicazide
So here I am on day 3 of Vesicare. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like since on it my frequency is actually up a bit. I was told to give it atleast one week but two is better to see improvement so I want to stick it out but I keep thinking can Vesicare make your frequency worse before better? I am not sure what's going and since it's the weekend kind of hard to call and ask!
So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine. I have been on them for almost 4 weeks and while my frequency has improved I still have discomfort and tightness in my genital area. Is this a concern? Also will I get back to where I was previously and I long should I stay on the meds before I switch to something else to completely get rid of my symptoms. I would greatly appreciate any help and encouagement, especially if someone else has been through a similar senario. Thanks.
does anyone get headaches from taking vesicare?? They seen to go away with advil. Anyone had these symptons, did they lessen with longer use of vesicare??
I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
Now I am on Amoxicilin 500mg three times a day for 7 days. Before I was on 6 weeks course of floxacin and then 4 weeks on Bactrin DS, assuming that I had E.Coli infection though nothing showed up in urine culture.
Now my concern is that, is this infection the cause of the symptoms or just an add on to bladder hypertrophy and minimally obstructive prostate, that were the findings of Cystoscopy.
Its possible to get infected after cystoscopy.
So I been kind of depressed, and 5 neuros later I think Im giving up trying to find a dx. The PTC doesnt explain all my other sx. Anyway, I had started on the Vesicare 10mg, for my overactive bladder. Well it appeared to be working, so when I saw my urologist, I told him for the most part it is working. Before I started the Diamox, my bladder kinda went back to the old dysfunctional way.
which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...
can someone please tell that which medicine works best for OAB ........VESICARE,ENABLEX OR DETROL LA..........I m male and 29 yrs old ,can i also take detrol la.....Any response should be highly appreciated..........

A year ago I noticed a strange rash on my penis while urinating. Of course I freaked out and self diagnosed myself with everything under the sun. I went and got checked for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and all came back negative. Went to dr and was prescribed triamcinolone cream it didn't seem to help but rash was still present but not as predominant.
Year later I have unprotected sex and the rash came back and has been with me for the last 3wks.
For the past 7 months I have been experiencing bilateral testicular pain only upon palpation of my testicles on a certain area next to the epididymis bilaterally. At the same time I wake up in the middle of the night 3-4 times to urinate. I went to a urologist who said I have an inf inflamed testicular cyst on the right side and possibly a case of low grade epididymitis bilaterally. He also said most likely have overactive bladder.
My father had a brain tumor removed and now has to take a nasal spray called Desmopressin. His endocranologist only wants him to use it one time a day, but the problem is he goes to the bathroom sometimes every 15 minutes!!!! He is also on 1/2 mg of Dexamethasone and that's part of the problem. Sometimes he takes two puffs a day but the doctor doesn't want him to do that daily.
I also did all STD test and all were negative.He put me on Levofloxycin for 20 days with first 10 days with 500 mg and then 250 mg a day.There was not much of relief and the urge to urinate is still there. Now he as asked me to take Lyrica 25 mg for 1 week, 2 tabs a day.I have not started the course but do not know if we are on the right track. I sit twice a day in hot water and that helps but urge to urinate every 30 mins is still there.
hi my doctor changed my tablets he has given me keflex,i was bite by an insect and had a bad reaction,the last tablet he gave me were horrible and i stopped taking them,so now i got these and i have read up on them and it says it has penicillin in them,now my doctor knows i am allergic to this,i havent started taking them yet,i am worried,and to top it all off i now have a sore throat and i know these new tablets will cure this too,do i take them or no,also i am going to turkey in 2 weeks,what i
