This got me real depressed and worried as I was in fear of being brain dead an lose a once promising career.
Avatar f tn I recently quit cocaine 2 weeks ago after 2 years of cocaine use when I first noticed memory, learning, problem solving, and concentration impairments while performing job functions on the job.  My job requires alot of analytical thinking and analysis of information.  My average intake during those 2 years was 3 grams/week.  I became very nervous and stressed 2 weeks ago because the simplest assignments and tasks at work would confuse me.

Memory loss is also a common symptom of frontal lobe injury. Damage to the frontal lobe of the brain causes frontal encephalomalacia. Encephalomalacia is not an illness. Avatar f tn The reason that I have a fear of more memory damage or brain damage from certain meds or supplements is that while searching for medications and supplements to help with memory I have come across information that certain medications like aderall and others plus different types of supplements can actually cause memory damage with long term use, plus I already have memory problems and I don't need more and I am on other medications for other diseases that will have adverse effects when taken
Avatar m tn Thank you for your response I don't use any drugs, no seizures depression is not an issue either but I do get little sleep after I finish my day before I go to sleep I stay up till 2:30-3:30 am everyday on the tv or computer and wake up around 7:30-8 if I don't have to wake up for college I usually get a couple more hours of sleep a night but 4 or 5 days a week im getting between 4.5-5.

A few years have passed since then, but I find that I seem to be forgetting things quicker than I used to. For instance, I couldnt even remember the name of a movie I saw with my friend two days ago or our conversation....sometimes conversations hours after they have occurred. is there anythinng I can do to help improve my memory???
Avatar f tn I’ve decided to see if there’s maybe some supplements I can take or certain foods I should eat more of that could help with the deficiency but what I’m finding, websites are saying the supplements are inhibitors of acetylcholine, yet they claim to improve the symptoms I’m experiencing. I’m confused because why would I want an inhibitor if I’m lacking the enzyme in the first place? Unless I’m confused about how the acetylcholinesterase works with choline and acetylcholine?

Avatar f tn ve started taking brain and memory enhancement supplements. These helped a little, but not a lot. I checked out the brain games, crossword puzzles etc. I feel a little more confident about stuff, but people will ask me to do somethinga nd a minute later I will already have forgotten to do it. I do in fact feel very multi-tasked. If there is a way to describe it, I am overly-multi-tasked on the job and my home life is also quite busy. Should I get tested for ADD?

Natural does not mean safe. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that there is anyway to improve egg quality. Women are born with x amount of eggs, and that is what we get. They age just like we do, and that is where chromosomnal abnormalities come into play.

I am now on 40mg a day (20mg for about month, now 40 for about 2weeks) i was wondering when i can expect to really notice a difference, so i can decide if it is working well enough or i should try something else. I have a very hectic job and I feel there are times I cannot keep up--and yes my confidence has diminished...anyone out there feel the same way...???
Avatar m tn You should also aim to improve your memory through memory games and especially designed exercises. For this you will need to consult a neuro-psychiatrist. Also, the sinus issues have to be dealt with as chronic sinusitis too can affect the brain function. Please discuss with your treating doctors. Take care!
