I would like to know which supplier is commonly used here for tenofovir (viread) generic? I have researched one by Cipla Limited from India...90days supply at usd$133.48. Is that supplier reliable?

I use Entehep and Tenohep manufactured by Zydus Cadilla which is another reputed company like cipla and ranbaxy....The tenohep differs in color with viread...the former is white while the latter is blue as i heard.don't know about tenvir(cipla)..
I have search online for generic entecavir and i found a good news that Cipla, an india company has produced a generic for entecavir. However, i have search through the online pharmacy which provide generic entecavir, none of their shipping company covers south east asia, which is very disappointing.

Am a chronic hepatitis b carrier with low viral low of of 4250 copies after treatment with entercavir which i could not continue due to cost.I have just been informed of tonofovir by cipla which is a lot lot cheaper and equal very effective.My question is why go on entercavir when its obvious poor people like me cannot afford or sustain it only to drop off later.

Tenofovir is made by Cipla in Mumbai, India. This firm has been making drugs since 1935. All drugs are distributee in 130 countries. China has re written their F D A type regulation banning Viread because the earlier agreement stated that Viread was 300% higher in cost. China decided at that price, few people could afford the $12,000/yr and was not helping it's people. Brazil and another country have banned the Viread name and it's exclusion for the Generic Tenofovir.
if you have financial issues check posts on this forum about generics, you can switch to tenvir which is tdf or tenvir em or similar name which is tdf+ftc, both are more potent than entecavir, entecavir generic is not available but since the other drugs are more potent there is no need for it
see posts on this forum about where you can buy them and if you can afford them, they are produced by cipla at an affordable price, please be very careful not to stop entecavir if you don't have other
Are you currently on any medication like imatinib? The neutropenia can be due to your current medication. You can ask your hematologist for G-CSF injection if you have persistent neutropenia. Patients with CML are immunocompromised and can easily acquire infections. Neutropenia also puts a patient in an immunocompromised state.
For now, it is very important to prevent acquiring any infection. You should avoid crowded places and persons with ongoing infection.
