6573002 tn?1383657837 BTW I take salt tabs but not thermo-tabs as those are buffered with potassium but are not so high in sodium with each tablet. I take 1 gram tablets so I get a higher boost of sodium and carry them with me so that when I feel wonky, I can take one. Summer is especially hard and I take more. I take 2 daily as it is, and more as needed! You may want to consider upping your salt intake (salt food, salty food) and carrying the thermotabs to take as needed when you feel off and see if it helps.

So we gave Oricef (Ceftriaxone) IV inj for 4 weeks and after that some improvements has been observed. In the meantime the Penicillin G Sodium injection has arrived from Canada. Avatar f tn My special Fertility Dr. has put me on many things; one is Heparin Sodium Injection for 10 days (25 units injection morning and night). The injection is by needle that is very thin and short needle. But after injection, the nest day, the area becomes hard and I get busies around it. I inject it around 2" of my belly. Can someone tell me please what the bruises are for? I have left a message tonight for Dr but no call yet. I need answer please. Thank you.
Avatar f tn While some people experience pain relief after the first injection of EUFLEXXA, most patients experience significant relief after the third (last) weekly injection. You can expect months of pain relief from EUFLEXXA, although the duration of relief will vary from person to person. I would suggest that you visit a orthopaedician to rule out contraindications or side effects to this treatment. Best.

Avatar f tn It is not too late - bump up your dose a bit - also increase your sodium intake and up your fluids to feel better. It is helpful as well to know if you need just sodium and need to avoid potassium (the norm is to spike in potassium during a crisis), or sodium and potassium (some drop in both) - and that way you can add back what you need and avoid what you don't. Also, you need to find a local doc that can help you ASAP.
Avatar m tn My doctor called me yesterday asking me to come in for follow up tests because I may have an issue with my thyroid. I have test results for the initial test and then the follow-up tests but I do not know what they mean. Can someone please help me understand the results? Thank you in advance. THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE (TSH)(component) TSH (my value) <0.01 mcIU/mL (standard range) 0.35 - 4.
Avatar f tn The crux of low cortisol is that your body cannot manage sodium so when you start to feel awful - try something salty. That may help keep you out of trouble. I also suggest that you get copies of all your tests. The stimulation test is often the last hurdle for diagnosis. As for a tumor on your pituitary - do you have a tan? What is your ACTH? ACTH would be super low (which can also be lab error - it is a very very fussy test) if it is pituitary source and cortisol will be low as well.

1125820 tn?1265284446 You did mention that you have already tried an anticonvulsant, Topamax, but the other often prescribed anticonvulsant is Divalproex sodium/sodium valproate. In fact, Divalproex sodium/sodium valproate has been shown more effective than Topamax in trials. So, you may want to talk to your doctor about Divalproex sodium/sodium valproate. You may also want to try Botox Injections. You may also want to talk to your doctor about Calcium Channel Blocker.
Avatar f tn AI is basically that the body cannot hold sodium and thus sodium drops and potassium in most cases spikes. This can be life threatening so be sure you act. Look up the symptoms and be aware. Wear a medic alert bracelet. You may need more salt in your diet as well as another medication to hold sodium. It is a new way of life and it is going to take a bit to get used to.

Even pre-pregnancy, I am a health freak and do eat fresh fruits and veggies everyday as well as fruit and nut bars. I have tried apple juice, prune juice, and normally coffee gets me to go but I am at the point now to where I am giving into OTC stuff.
