I am currently taking 50 mcg of compounded T3, and feel pretty good. However, I just had my quarterly blood work done, and things appear to be out of wack. My free T3 is at 500, my free T4 at 0.84, and my TSH at 0.2. Does this mean I am getting too much T3? 4 years ago I was also placed on HCTZ, due to increasing BP. 7 weeks ago, after getting quarterly labs done, my PCP said my calcium was too high and took me off the HCTZ. She also said my TSH levels were high and placed me on synthroid. Last week I had office visit and my BP was 150/90. My doctor then put me on metaprolol. I started getting headaches every day. My BP remained at 150 to 160 over 90 to 100.
Still see my Hepa for several more years on a scheduled basis - quarterly blood work this year. every 6 mos. next year and then annually, I have an MRI and endoscope next month checking on varices and status since EOT. Related disorders to to the tx could show up anytime, and recurrence possibility and liver cancer. Am cirrhotic so I may always be at risk for HCC. It is what it is.
