I have been told that it is hereditary and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I am on metoprolol tartare 25 mg. and hyzaar 100/25, both taken 1 qd. hyzaar in am and meto... in pm. We are talking that within 2 years I will have a valve replacement (when it reaches 5.0 cm). Is there anything I can do to stop the progression?
I went to a new doctor in February. At that time I was taking 50 mg of Atenelol per day for heart palpitations, nothing more than OTC acid reducer. The new MD prescribed Hyzaar for HPB. I had horrible feelings so we cut it to half per day 25mg and 25 Atenelol. I still have days that I cannot function, I feel heavy in my head and chest and just have no energy at all. I have great days and horrible days but lately more horrible days. I just don't feel right.
My PCP added Verapamil to my current meds which include 60 mgs Cymbalta, Hyzaar , One half .25 mg Xanax nightly ( I have been trying to get off Xanax completely for awhile now, but that's another forum). I am 59 years old and able to do low to moderate impact exercise 6 days a week, however I can't climb stairs without feeling short of breath. There's also a family history of pulmonary problems and that makes me extremely anxious.
My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic.
I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?
It is a combination of Valsartan and the same diuretic as Hyzaar. It is essentially the same as Hyzaar which contains a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and losartan. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. Losartan is also in a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
On 60 mg oxycodone for one month and a few days. Can I drop to 30 mg of oxycodone for a few days or so to avoid withdrawals. What worked for you? Been clean for awhile, had surgery. Then back on.. Please no preaching, I know I need to get off, just need good answers that are similar to my situation. Don't mean to sound rude but just need to get it done and need some good advise. Is this to much of a drop? I only have 30 pills left of 15 mg. thanks for your input....
I am a 21 year old female. I have hypertension and I am treated with hyzaar 25/100 for it. I am overweight and previously had a very poor diet with no exercise. I have high cholesterol and high triglycerides also. I take wellbutrin XL 150 mg, vyvanse 50 mg and and strattera 80 mg. I developed swelling in my fingers in both hands this winter. It is perfectly symmetrical and located in the fatty tissue before my knuckle where my finger meets my hand. They are reddish plaque looking areas.
I'm starting to take 25 mg of Zoloft daily (to treat IBS). Can this low of dosage cause weight gain?
im on day 25 clean. im getting really stressed out. i dont think im gonna get everything done for the wedding. there is sooooooooooo much to do and so little time, its only 9 days away. but one thing is im enjoying doing it clean. finaly getting some good sleep the past 2 nights. last night i actually didnt wake up in the middle of my sleep. wahooooooooo. im so happy about that. things are getting better and better for me.
I took off the 50 mg patch one night and put on a 25 mg patch as I heard we had to taper down. I only left it on a day and a half. I pulled it off in the evening on thursday and friday morning when I woke up I was shaking really bad. for 8 days I had bad w/d. I called everyone and was very anixous and scard to death. my husband took a week off work. on day 4, I went to the dr and the dr wanted me to put on another patch, but it was day 4.
Hello Im a 25 year old male I've been taking 1000 mg vicodin for 2yrs have tried many times to quit but have never made it more than 48 hours.
I was thinking of talking about 1 8 mg sub in the morning first day(after 24 hours of with drawl) and 4 mg in the morning and 4 at nigh for the next day then 4 mg in the morning and 2 mg at night then then just stopping all together? so a total of 3 days of suboxone to get through the worst of the withdrawals.
I recently started taking Toprol xl 25 mg because my resting heart rate will sometimes be a little above 100. The cardiologist i went to told me to take it only when i have an episode of a fast heart rate which only happens like every other day or so. After reading information on the drug through i feel like all the websites say to take it every day. Is it still safe to take it every few days or so?
Hello ladies has anyone got a positive afp test? I got a call from my doctors and said my AFP test came back positive and I just couldn't help myself. Doctor said baby was at risk of having DS. Went in and did the level 2 ultrasound and baby looked fine. But while talking to my counselor, she went over the risks and told me my baby was at high risk. Said 1:4 which means 1 mother will have a baby born with down syndrome and the other 3 mothers have a normal pregnancy.
Is it too late to go back and start taking 25 mg the 1st week, 50 the 2nd, 75, and then 100 the 4th week (I looked up how it SHOULD be taken on the medical site). Or will it do more damage to go back to a lower dosage after a week of 100 mg?
She also started me on wellbutrin 150mg that same day, and told me to go to 300 mg after a week.
I have been taking roxies for about 6 months, 1/4 30 mg a day mainly at night. Until recently I have gotten up to 3/4 a day during work and if I don't I am sick and can't eat, I don't feel right.... Noone knows that I do it. Not even my gf... I want to get off without anyone knowing. Please help. What do I do??
