Common Questions and Answers about Hysterectomy and kidneys

hysterectomy

Avatar n tn It does sound like it would be the best solution. I can see what the doctor means. If they leave the ovaries, at least you wouldn't experience surgical menopause, which can be a bit brutal. But you would say goodbye to your womb. How do you feel about that? It might be a good idea, for the sake of your general health. Fibroids naturally shrink after menopause, and often cause no more trouble, but with the kidney involvement, I would say it's best to have the surgery.
Avatar f tn I had a complete hysterectomy 14 years ago and now I look like having period. I had tests A to Z done and all cane out fine. I do not have any sores or dryness. Had a injury to kidney last September, said tube to bladder damaged. They said possible cause. Could that be the cause? I don't bleed daily but I notice when I do activity such as lifting or bending I start to bleed. I feel tired and dizzy.
Avatar f tn I am 34 years old and i had a total hysterectomy 6mths. ago removing uterus and ovaries due to large fibroids. Since then i've gained a lot of weight especially in the abdomen. I am on hormone pills. Also my bladder constantly hurts, especially when it fills. Any suggestions on what may be going on and a solution to these problems.
Avatar n tn I am a 36 year old female. I voided pure blood and blood clots with no other symptoms. I had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago. I had the top of my uterus removed. Went to ER. Ultrasound showed shadowing in the bladder which indicated debris. Cathed urine was grossly bloody. I was sent home with Cipro and Pyridium. My urine culture had no growth. My UR protein was >300 and Ur blood large. Ur leukocytge est and ur micro hpf was also high. My white cell count was 13 and mpv 7.1.
Avatar f tn And I need to know if the disease , intersticial cystytis can cause cancer or problems with kidney, because I am in allful pain/at kidneys and it has gotten worse since I had hysterectomy on Apr.16. I have been back to my gyno. for the 6 week check up and had a bacterial infection. I have not had one of those since i was in my early 20`s. They said it was not a sex transmitted disease and I need to take FLAGL and I have been taking it a few days. It makes me dizzy , but I have been taking med.
Avatar f tn This may be due to the effect on the bowels and maybe even the bladder (and hence the kidneys) since those organs are displaced (descend in the abdomen) after the uterus is removed.
Avatar f tn Does she complain from any chronic medical condition like diabetes and hypertension? Was the cause of her hysterectomy a cancer uterus? What is her kidneys status? All these questions need to be answered to determine the underlying cause of her pericardial effusion. In addition, she is supposed to have echo done to see the amount of the fluid to decide whether it can be removed medically or if she needs invasive procedures to remove the excessive fluid. I hope this has been of some help.
Avatar n tn Hun it sounds like you have endometriosis. I have that and it spread to my bladder and kidneys. I would get bad and i mean bad UTI's I had loose stool, vomiting, painful sex, heavy bleeding. That Provera is a birth control right? If that is the case it might be good that you are on it. It sounds like your doctor is on the right track. One test you can have them do is a biopsy of your endometrium. Its just when they take a sample of the lining of your uterous.
Avatar f tn Your right, I did have a radical hysterectomy. I did have a full work up by a urologist and he said that everything was good and it wasnt my bladder or kidneys. I thought maybe it might have been that too.
Avatar n tn Today has been a tough day. My symptoms have actually became more severe and kidneys are giving me problems? Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Avatar f tn 2 of my doctors told me not to have it but when I needed a hysterectomy, I had the suspension done vaginaly and glad I did! That was over 20 years ago after we moved, was having some issues and had to find a new urologist. He did biopsies and diagnosed IC. Actually, he did DMSO bladder infusions and I have had no more problems. You stink like garlic for a day or so. About 4 years ago, began having problems with dry mouth and throat and globus.
Avatar f tn My question is could these be the start of more borderline tumors? Do borderline tumors start as cysts and progress and can they show up in the kidneys and liver? I just keep wondering if this is the start of something but it is just way too early to tell. The urologist that I followed up with for the ultrasound of the kidney just wants to repeat the ultrasound in a year to see if there are any changes but doesn't seem worried at all. I hate being scared of this borderline stuff...
Avatar f tn I have had it for 5 weeks now and still having a hard time recovering. Still sometimes have chills and fever, night sweats and very fatigued. I have taken omnicef and taken all of it.
Avatar f tn I Had my left ovary removed by keyhole four weeks ago, all was going well despite the op being complex due to adhesions from a hysterectomy . Consultant ordered ultrasound after op of kidneys and all was well. Now l have developed lower back and pelvic discomfort, like something is pulling down or fallen, has anyone else had this, l am very worried.
Avatar f tn Since you had an ovary removed and had a hysterectomy, it is not surprising that you have menopausal symptoms at this relatively young age. Let us know what you find out from your doctor. Hope it is nothing serious.
Avatar n tn I was trying to find out if there is anyway that the endometreosis could have effected my kidneys and I would just now, 21/2 years later be experiencing problems?
Avatar f tn had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago (doctor left one ovary). I was experiencing pain and went to the hospital...they found I had a follicle cyst on ovary. I had a kidney stone 5 years ago. The pain was excruciating. When I went to the hospital 5 years for the kidney stone..a CT scan was done and I was advised that I have cysts in both my kidneys (I tend to be cystic). I then followed up with a urologist and was told that the cyst on my right kidney needed further investigating...
Avatar f tn I had Almost exact symptoms last year and was sent home from hospital and told it was not an issue for A&E. I actually had a damaged uretha caused by an abscess burstingabove my left ovary which caused sepsis. I was extremely ill and ended up having a uretal stent for the past year and a total abdominal hysterectomy including ovaries in May of this year. Keep pestering the doctor!!
Avatar f tn I had a hysterectomy in feb 2008 and i am 35 yrs old. since my surgery i have had extreme abdominal pain, back pain, leg pain, insomnia and grion pain. My doctor really can't find anything wrong with me. He now says its neuropathic pain syndrome but I'm really not sure what to believe any more. what can i do? Please help.....
Avatar f tn we are actually healthy persons because hbv makes no damage to us, only few patients have strong immune system damaging liver and that is only the liver nothing else of the body...so tdf on hbv studies has 1% of kidneys issues on hbv carriers already having these issues before tdf start if your kidneys are fine from the start, very high creatinine clearance, you ll have no issues.
7059039 tn?1389576984 my question is though has anyone peed blood about four months after stopping coricidin, and also does any one sometimes have severe kidney pain.
Avatar f tn I'm 34 weeks and my kidneys are just killing me. I went to the bath room this morning and I had to pee so bad but it was like I was blocked off. I had a uti already with this pregnancy and I don't think that's what it is. The doc confirmed that I had got rid of it. Does anyone possibly know why my kidneys could be hurting so bad.
Avatar m tn I have been using Norco and othe opiods for about 1 year. Today i decided that it was a good idea to stop. I was only able to score 7.5/750 and i took alot over the last few days. Something is not right and i have alot of lower back pain. This is rough. The withdrawals i am coping with xanax and ultram but to np avail. Should i see a doc? Is the back pain normal?
