Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar n tn I had great skin growing up, but recently my skin has been way more difficult to handle. I am a 25 year old female, and about 5 week ago I started getting hard, unpopable bumps on my cheeks and one on my forehead. They were painful and big, and I am still dealing with the scars. They flattened out and are still red, but I thought my skin was getting better and healing. Like I said, I don't get very much acne, so this is new to me.
694961 tn?1228732588 vitamin c in large doses (buffered kind), msm, hyaluronic acid, and the combo of magnesium and B-1 (thiamin) can help relax muscles in the back, a little known but often effective avenue to try. i had one major success with that in someone with DDD. green-lipped mussel and all that shark cartilage is often the raw materials for glucosamine and is nothing special in my own opinion, but if it works use it.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
Avatar m tn Can somebody from the old school on this hep.
Avatar f tn The ingredients are vegetable glycerin, non GMO, demineralized water, ascorbic acid, polysorbate 20. No parabens or harsh preservatives. Contains more than 12% vitamin c. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!
Avatar n tn Should I choose Vichy Capital Soleil which has vitrually no antioxidants in its formulation, but has excellent UVA protection ingredients titanium dioxide, avobenzene, and photostable Mexoryl, OR, should I choose Clinique Face Sunblock which has antioxidant Vitamin C, but only has UVA protection avobenzene which is not photostable (realistically I won't be reapplying it every two hours)? I read that vitamin C is good for treating and protecting against wrinkles and sun spots.
Avatar m tn Various combinations of Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitan Sulfate, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and Essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids are safe and extremely effective to relieve pet arthritis pain. There are also natural herbal kidney products that we have wonderful results with in our older canine patients with kidney failure that have helped their kidney values; BUN and Creatinine and kidney function return to normal. I hope this is somewhat helpful and would be glad to discuss this in detail.
Avatar f tn ve also been using raw honey most this time), my Neutrogena cleanser and moisturizer were used /daily/ until I switched out for the salicylic acid cleanser (for those few days) and appeared to be helping me heal the past week, and I haven't made any dramatic changes in my diet. Any idea? For now, I'm going to try taking an antihistamine before I fall asleep tonight and see how my face looks in the morning.
Avatar m tn The acid seems to help break up the plaques. In fact I use a moisturizer with vitamin C also. There are also prescription meds with vitamin D that are supposed to help. I am not a believer in topical corticosteroids, which is all that Benovate medicine is. It is supposed to treat inflammation, but it thins skin andn causes more problems and cures nothing. The cream that helps me is called Psoriaflora. It is over-the-counter and you can order it from Amazon.
Avatar n tn I have tried Mederma, Scar zone, hyaluronic acid with vitamin c, scar guard, kelo cote, cortisone 10, and skin medica. Also using lemon juice, an indian volcano ash mask that is recommended to apply with vinegar (as it is a powder). I have been doing this for five months. I also bought a skin roller 1' with over 250 needles and have done two treatments. I am not really seeing drastic results, minutely at best.
Avatar f tn You have to understand chemistry here. Vitamin C is an acid -- ascorbic acid. That's just how nature made it. Can't change that. For most people it's not really a problem, but if you take large doses it can be too acidic. Even in some foods it's too acidic; which is why one shouldn't overdo oranges. Too much acid can upset the stomach and interfere with it's natural acid/alkaline balance.
Avatar m tn No better or worse. Exercise, diet, Cordisone and Hyaluronic injections acid, rubs, creams, fat stem cell shots...Knee ex-rays show I do have medial bone on bone in knees and osteoarthritis (OA). I felt a bit like I had a brain fog so I got checked out for that. One test after another. MRIs and auto immune test. inconclusive but what lead to further test was something in my blood told doctors I could have an auto immune but not which one. Doctors also said my B12 and D6 were way low.

Avatar m tn Almost all first line theripies cause a burning or dry skin conditions but those are normal... you may use some moisturizer enriched with vitamin C or E to sooth the areas around the wart but don't use these on warts... The recurrance usually appear when the virus remains at the base of your wart so you might need to keep using the treatment even after the wart is gone for couple of application...
1880256 tn?1322569908 You can try Buffered vitamin C if you find that regular ascorbic acid upsets your stomach. An esterified form of vitamin C is also available, which may be easier on the stomach for those who are prone to heartburn. The best way to take vitamin C supplements is 2 - 3 times per day, with meals, depending on the dosage. Some studies suggest that adults should take 250 - 500 mg twice a day for any benefit.
