hyaluronic-acid

Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.

Avatar m tn ve had my eyes dialated twice and in both cases (one with an optometrist and one with a opthamologist) I was told everything looked fine and that my floaters was due to aging as well. The MD did a very thorough examThe reason I made the connection was that hyaluronic acid seems to be involved in both cases so I was curious if there is a connection. If you don't mind me asking, why would joint inflammation be a cause of concerns for floaters...?
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar m tn hi, in short, the skin becomes sensitive in the later years and as the sunlight becomes more and more harsh with passing time, the damage to the skin becomes greater. as a rule of thumb, caucasians tend to have more damage, however people who may have darker skin may also suffer from some damage. the best thing to do then is to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. use clothes which cover your arms and legs and also headgear to cover your face.
Avatar n tn I have tried Olay regenerist, ROC and Garnier Nutritionist and currently seen ad for Hydroxatone that contains matrixly 3000, argireline and hyaluronic acid and is there anything you can recommend I use that can help minimize the wrinkles while adding collagen and elasticity to my skin. I am tired of products that offer a lot but delivers nothing. I want a product I can stick to. SO PLEASE what would you recommend I buy and how should I use it.
Avatar m tn Some patients swear by the joint supplements, such as chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, and glucosamine. There is some anecdotal evidence that these may help thicken the cartilage, but no strict research has ever shown this to be true.
Avatar f tn What vitamins can I take to prevent aging? Exclusively the face and neck areas. If there is not a vitamin, can herbs help and what kind? Any Natural Preventions?
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
Avatar n tn its £10 but absolutely worth it ive used it for two days and my spots have dried up completely, i also have extremely dry and flakey skin but you have to be careful with moisturisers as the oil in moisturisers will cause breakouts and the spot treatment will dry you up so they wont work together, you should use a combination mosituriser or two seperate moisturisers on different areas because as i say the mosituriser wont be helping your spots and the treatment wont work if your caking it back o
Avatar m tn Can somebody from the old school on this hep.
Avatar m tn This has been treated with ultrasound, condroitin sulphate pills for three months, anti-inflammatory drugs on and off, and an insole. The pain when I walk is still there and at times intense. I have two questions: 1. Several physicians have propose hyaluronic acid or cortisone injections. Which is recommended? 2. One physician offered to perform a chondral transplant, consisting in taking fresh chartilage from my knee and implanting it in the toe, with arthroscopic surgery.
Avatar n tn Hi, Fraxel Laser has been designed to change minute volumes of target tissue with the alteration of the appearance of aging and sun-damaged skin. Tiny microscopic wounds on the body result in a healing process that responds to the coagulation of collagen fibers in our skin It may be used in rosacea, however suitability and other customization issues may need to be addressed before the treatment is rendered.
Avatar n tn Check into MSM, along with the glucosamine and hyaluronic acid. No chondroitin?
Avatar n tn Hello, Your symptoms are suggestive of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation(PIH) and folliculitis. It can be a result of trauma to the skin like in shaving, chemical peels and photoxic eruptions. Folliculitis is inflammation of one or more hair follicles due to friction from clothing, blockage of the follicle, or shaving. I feel that an examination by a wood lamp by a dermatologist will help in distinction of epidermal PIH from dermal PIH.
Avatar f tn Bur for deep wrinkles, botox shots, microdermabrasion, dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid, collagen and Radiesse and laser treatment are used .I would suggest you to discuss about these treatment options with your dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
1193392 tn?1266969248 I have been taking hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid and some other things like grape seed extract recently with little or no visible results. I suspect I may have a thyroid issue, as I do have quite cold hands and feet, light headedness and a few other issues, but my doctor was sure my thyroid was ok. Since the skin change I have also been losing hair in the normal male pattern, which has been very unpleasant.
Avatar n tn I have tried Mederma, Scar zone, hyaluronic acid with vitamin c, scar guard, kelo cote, cortisone 10, and skin medica. Also using lemon juice, an indian volcano ash mask that is recommended to apply with vinegar (as it is a powder). I have been doing this for five months. I also bought a skin roller 1' with over 250 needles and have done two treatments. I am not really seeing drastic results, minutely at best.
Avatar n tn I had great skin growing up, but recently my skin has been way more difficult to handle. I am a 25 year old female, and about 5 week ago I started getting hard, unpopable bumps on my cheeks and one on my forehead. They were painful and big, and I am still dealing with the scars. They flattened out and are still red, but I thought my skin was getting better and healing. Like I said, I don't get very much acne, so this is new to me.
Avatar f tn Some relief during activity, but immediately afterward pain, burning pain and stiffness . I am 46 and have both knees scoped over 10 years ago for meniscus tears and tore my ACL 25 years ago and never got ift fixed which my ortho doc had x rays and thought I was in early stages of OA. I was not prepared for this, as my knees actually fell worse than the pain I had before. To all who have had these injections before, did you find the pain or feeling was different than before?
Avatar m tn I have been taking Wellbutrin for about a year. It has helped me tremendously, but I have noticed drastic signs of aging in my skin. It's lost it's youthfulness, and is more wrinkled especially under my eyes. I have tried cremes, facials, peels, I drink tons of water, take a multi vitamin and omegas. Nothing works :( Is there anything I can do? The medicine has been wonderful, but my skin looks much older than it should (I am 40) and it is since I have been using Wellbutrin.
Avatar f tn The mark is now more pronounced and noticeable, dark like the color of my lips, and impossible to cover with makeup because of the hole in the skin. Will the skin ever grow back and what can I do about it now or in the future? Any suggestions? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Juvederm is basically an injectible filler used by cosmetic, dermatological, and plastic surgeons to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles in the faces of patients. It consists of hyaluronic acid which is found normally in muscles, skin and tendons of mammals. Although it has many side effects like redness, pain and tenderness during injections and swelling and bruising at the injection sites but all these are temporary side effects which go away in a few days.
Avatar n tn The very best over-the-counter preparation that I have found is CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid. This is available at Amazon. I believe that retinoic acid is the active ingredient. It is painless and works practically overnight. This is also much safer than the corticosteroid preparations. Probably any formulation that contains retinoic acid (i.e., Retin-A or other retinols) and hyaluronic acid will work. CeraVe is simply the first brand that I tried.
