m having a followup with a oncologist/dermatologist because one of the side effects of Humira is non-melanoma skin lesions (some cancerous). Besides, once a cancer patient, always concerned. Want the remaining Humira shot in my fridge?

I have had Crohn's for 40 yrs; 30 yrs on steroids, 10 on methotrexate. Originally oral, 25 mg a week, but last 4 yrs weekly injections of 25 mg. I had a hemi-colectomy in March 09, with 15 cm of my small and large intestines removed. Unfortunately, I then had a big flare in late September requiring 2 weeks again in hospital. I was put on remicade: gastro said I would have only 3 infusions: 0, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, but still had faecal incontinence and failure to put on weight.

I just started Humira (2 shots so far) and have had a worsening of symptoms since the first shot. My hands/feet have become swollen and my joints hurt more than before I started taking the Humira. I also have systemic vasculitis (Churg-Strauss Syndrome) and am on Cytoxan and Prednisone, but I have been taking both for more than a year and know the side-effects from each.

Anyone taking humira and feel like they are sick coming down with a cold for a week after injection? Not a full blown cold but the start of one. I have RA and use Humira/methotrexate. How long do I have to be off Humira to get a yellow fever (and/or tyhphoid) vaccine? How long to I have to stay off Humira after the vaccine?

I also take 5mg of prednisone, and 6 Azulfadine tablets each day. I was taking Humira once every fourteen days and I am on 15mg of methotrexate a week. About a month ago, I started experiencing numbness in my toes and feet. I mentioned it to my rheumatologist but she wasn't concerned and simply told me it wasn't rheumatoid arthritis. The numbness in addition to burning and tingling then moved to include my feet and ankles, both hands, and sometimes my forearms.

My husband missed his dose of Humira by 24 hours a week ago. He is now vomiting regularly like he did prior to his diagnosis. Is this normal with a missed dose? He has been on Humira since September.

Both are supposed to do the same thing in the body. The only difference is Remicade is a made-protien where as the Humira is a human protien. With Humira you give yourself a shot every other week. So far, after using both, I prefer the Remicade. I didn't mind the treatments as much as I do the Humira even though the Humira is more convienient (I hate having to give myself a shot.

I had a high risk exposure almost 10 weeks ago. Well, narcotics work wonderfully for the pain, however you can't live life being on narcotics all the time. How would you work/drive/care for your children if your head is clouded by narcotics? This can be a tough decision. I inject both methotrexate and Enbrel once a week; both are virtually painless. Sometimes I don't even feel the needle, it's so small. I would make sure that there isn't something going on at school that she fears so much, it makes her sick just to think about going. Then I would get her checked thoroughly as there is obviously something wrong.

Within a couple of days, my bottom front teeth stated hurting. I skipped a week of Humira under Dr advice incase I was fighting a sinus infection. Symptoms got better. Then I started back on my Humira last night and my teeth are killing me again. If I take DayQuil and NyQuil everyday, my sinuses feel better but its been some weeks now that I'll get a horrible sinus headache without cold medicine. Laying down or sleeping on my stomache makes it worse.

Though infection has been sited as a possible cause, antibiotics do not see to work well. Without a detailed history and a clinical evaluation it would be inappropriate on my side to suggest anything. I went to my Gyn last week - she is pretty sure they are warts, however she cut one out to perform a biopsy - results are due back next week (along with results of my annual pap as well as an HPV "culture" from the cervix she also took). C) My partner has now revealed that he had had 2 HPV warts diagnosed back in Nov 2007 (~ 12 months before we met, 16 months before we first had sex), had them frozen off and hadn't experienced any symptoms since...

If you already have herpes simplex, either orally or genitally, it could cause it to reactivate. Most people never get tested for herpes to know that they have it.

s allergies, an infection, or a side effect from the Humira. Has anyone else had this happen shortly after starting this drug? I am planning to call my doctor on Monday but just trying to figure out what's going on.
