Someone once posted a helpful video site on how to inject pegasys and I was wondering it there is any information on how to inject procrit. My last two hgb blood test results were 9.7 and 9.4 , so my doctor is going to order procrit for me. I am going to get procrit 40,000 units per ml per week. Is that the dose that everyone else is doing? Do you have to mix the solution or measure it out to inject ? My mind is a bit foggy these days....

Hello everyone, hope this posts finds you all well. I was hoping someone might have a trick to make taking the humira injector pen any less painful. I'm actually hoping I can talk my doctor into letting me get it in vial form so I can fill my own syringe and take it the same as I do the methotrexate. But that pen, its a killer. I always let it warm up from the fridge first is this a mistake maybe? Does it just burn naturally or does the injector pen make it worse?

Hello. I am not on Humira (yet) but have talked to many people who are. From what I understand, what you are experiencing is normal and that it gets better after several injections. I have also heard that you may feel better if you inject it right before bed so you can sleep through most of the side effects. Please let us know how you do and if you develop any other side effects.

why is it every video i see on injecting yourself for hep c ,all these people never pull for blood before they inject, most other sites tell you that its very important to pull blood before you inject,to make sure you havent hit a main artery

s a bit scary to learn to inject yourself. However a nurse will sit down with you and walk you through it the first time, and give you all the time you need. I bet that within a week or two the jitters will be gone.

Hi, I was just wondering how I can go about asking my husband if he is doing drugs again. He's a very hot headed person to begin with, and when he is on whatever he his on, it's worse. I don't want him to go off on me if I ask him, but I need to know what the deal is. He has admitted to me that he takes pills (I think he said Percocet), but he said it was occasionally. He had a short stint with heroin, but I hear it's really addicting.

As to how long you live not even a doctor can give you a true anwser to that but i can tell you this My grandmother had skeletal cancer in her entire body. at first they keep giving her only moths and she lived for years after being dianosed and told she didnt have much more time. She didnt ever give up and you cant ethier you must fight.

t sure if I should worry about it. I usually inject myself in the abdomen, So the bruising is not close to my injection. I took pictures of my bruising, it is now fading...I will show my doctor at my next appointment, I feel better now...knowing that other people do bruise easily. Thanks again for the quick response.

Was wondering about Ulcerative Colitis. I've since read the Humira isn't even approved yet for U.C. even though Dr has been talking to us about it for months. He thinks a lot of it. But without approval, insurance won't help pay for it. SO for now it's a mute point I guess. Dr upped prednisone again. Dr doesn't like Remicade at all. How has your experience been with Humira? How long have you been using it, etc? THANK YOU.

I am thinking that you probably had a concurrent infection brewing when you Started Humira. Good Luck managing your AS, I appreciate how difficult it can be with mobility issues, and treating pain.

are you checking with the manufactory on cost savings cards? I have been on Humira for over a year and the manufacture subsidies the cost to were i pay 25 a month for two 40m pens.

Hey There, I too have had Crohn's for just about ten years and for those of you who have just been diagnosed, rest assured that you learn to live with these things. True, they may be a bit unpleasant sometimes, but this is a very treatable disease. You just have to learn your body and your symptoms to learn how to control them and keep at bay. I've been in remission for about two years - still have the occasional flare up but nothing that isn't generally speaking manageable.

I am having little to no diarrhea. However humira is causing me to have a headache, feel nauseated, and some other things. But its not easy giving yourself shots especially if you dont like needles, but to me it is worth it and I might actually be able to enjoy the holidays this year which is the best gift anyone could have given me this CHRISTmas. I am still in a little pain but not much. So its already worth it and its only been a few days.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's 9 years ago. I have been taking Asacol (5-ASA) and Imuran (Azathioprine). Last february I was hospitalized for the first time and was put on prednisone. I am still on prednisone and my body won't let me get off of it. My doctor wants me to start Humira, but I am scared. I don't like reading about the side effects and things that can happen when on that drug. Does anyone have any experience with this drug (Humira)? I would really appreciate it.

Anyone taking humira and feel like they are sick coming down with a cold for a week after injection? Not a full blown cold but the start of one. I feel like this always and this is my 3rd dosage ( counting the starter kit), so I'm new to humira. I've noticed if I'm stressed, I'll even get a sore throat. I know humira suppresses your immune system but are you supposed to feel like you're coming down with something every injection or will this go away with time?

I hve hsv1&2 for over 6 yrs nw ,no flare up for two yrs.I just started humira then out the blue I flared up,nw I'm due for my 15th day injection but hve to wait for my Doc to call to let me know if I'm able to continue the humira injection wth this active virus.I think the humira reactivated the virus,wow! I have very severe pain on a relatively frequent basis, about 2 episodes a month. I am on humira and it seems to be helping all the other symptoms but the pain. Immunosuppressent meds like humira and remmicade were miracle workers until I became allergic to them. Started to self treat with probiotics and herbs and good diet. I no longer have active crohns in my intestines, however the anal abscesses won't heal. I've had over 7 surgeries to lance, drain and place setons in them. I've taken antibiotics and steroids with no success. I've had setons in for EIGHT years!!!! Surely there are new treatment options for me by now, right??
