Common Questions and Answers about How much is pataday with insurance

pataday

Avatar n tn Thankyou so much for your reply! i went to the doctors yesterday and after i did some research on the two drops you mentioned and i found patanol eye drops here on prescription in australia, which contains the same active ingredient as pataday drops just in a two drops twice a day method because its only 1mg not 2.22mg like pataday, i have done 2 doses of the drops and on my lord they are awesome! the redness has settled right down much quicker than in the past!
Avatar m tn Pataday is for allergy. While I cannot give you an exact diagnosis the most common problem by far is contact lens related problem not dry eye which is extremely rare in a male age 18. Generally it means your contacts are not fitting, you are not wearing them properly or disposing at correct interval or have developed a problem called GPC (giant papillary conjunctivitis). you will need to work through this with whomever fits your contact lens.
1831849 tn?1383228392 I just received my first bill for Copaxone. They are billing my insurance company over $3K monthly, which is much higher than the monthly cost I had heard others discuss on the forum. My copay would normally be $250, but I somehow qualified for a financial assistance program in which Shared Solutions will cover all of my copay except for $35/month. I have no idea what I did to qualify, since there was no application. It's all quite strange.
Avatar f tn The ones covered by insurance we don't see the price they send it straight to the ins. company.
Avatar n tn Hello Uwantmetodowaht, I am very sorry you are in so much pain. It is sad that you are having issues with insurance and PM Clinics. Unfortunately our Health Care Delivery System is not always conductive to our needs. You are taking a dangerous cocktail. Liver and kidney damage are often not reversible. Please do not take the chance of permanent injury to either or both vital organs.
Avatar f tn I didnt really know where else to put this, but does anyone know how much is the general cost that it would be to go see someone for help?
Avatar n tn Zaditor is NOT the same as Patanol or Pataday. My doctor told me not to mix and match. NOW AARP Rx is sending me a generic Olopatadine HCL by Rising Labs and I am paying the same price as the Brand Patanol which works great for me. I live in NE NJ..
Avatar m tn If the ocular herpes is active don't use it.
Avatar f tn Now my eyes are aching and the tissue behind the eye is growing over it and I was asking how much it would cost to do the surgery to take the tissue out. So does anyone know how much for the orbital decompression surgery? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I went to my opthamologist. The doctor prescribed Tobramycin and Pataday. Using both eye drops the condition got better with just a bit in the right eye. My opthamologist took me off the antibiotic and told me to do the Pataday (allergy drops). Which I have. Yet, my right eye is tearing excessively and my right eye is tearing a little bit. The inner tear duct is very itchy and sting at times.I already got another opionion and was told that it's allergies.
Avatar m tn I suffer from the exact same thing with the inside corner of my eye driving me crazy at times it itches so bad. What has helped me is Rx eye drops called Pataday. It is for itchy allergy eyes, and sometimes I put a drop or two on the end of a q-tip and dab it in that corner of my eye and sometimes I put the drop directly into the eye. Works wonders. Whether it is allergy or irritation of some sort, the drops take the itch away for me. I hope this works for you.
2093716 tn?1344094995 Yeah you should call your insurance company to see what's going on. I think my first appointment or two were more expensive (although not $300 expensive) and from that point on they were actually free unless I had an ultrasound. I picked up another specialist during the pregnancy for a complication, and they tried to charge me $300 a visit for that. Since I'm not a multi-millionaire, I did a little battle with my insurance company.
Avatar f tn I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.
Avatar f tn But somehow or another it got covered on insurance. I found out at 12 weeks and confirmed it at 20 weeks with a level 2 ultrasound.
Avatar f tn I'm really here just to get it all out. 12 months ago I made an emergency trip back east to have my elderly parents placed in a nursing home - they hade been living in their house but my mom had alzheimers and my dad parkinsons. My dad had an accident and had to be put in the hospital and that is when the drs.said he could not go back home - it was a blessing in disguise because I had been trying to get him to agree to leave the house.
Avatar f tn I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
Avatar n tn Neither is specific for dry eyes. pataday is a once/day allergy eye drop and Xibrom is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory. If your problems are truely dry eyes you would do better with frequent artifical tears, a lubricating gel at bedtime, oral fish oil (2-4 enteric coated/day) and if moderate or severe then a 6 month trial of Restasis.
Avatar f tn That is wonderful news! I always cringe when I have to go pick up a new prescription as you just never know. I try not to think about how much I spend on meds each month!
Avatar f tn I would recommend that you seek the care of an additional corneal specialist or speak to the one you saw, to determine whether other options may help. As I am not familiar with your entire course, it is difficult to assess whether medications may be causative. Of course, discontinuation of the medications should help the surface, if they are the cause. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
Avatar n tn Are steroids such as Maxitrol or Tobradex *supposed* to help with eye burning caused by dry eye or can it make your symptoms worse? I'm dealing with allergic conjunctivitis (again!) and dealing with burning eyes. thanks!
197575 tn?1215532624 My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.
200957 tn?1236136923 Well, for those who have read some of my post I went to the doctor today. My HCG level was 12, which probably means this is just residual from the second trigger shot. They want me to go back for a second test to make sure. but I am almost certain, I am cramping today, and feeling like I am going to start. I spoke with my Dr. last visit and told her we wanted to be more agressive as I have read on many of the post. she stated we should go forward with IVF. I thought she was going to say IUI.
