1399363 tn?1462342610 Histamine occurs naturally in certain foods and an enzyme called diamine oxidase, which is present in our body breaks down the histamine which we absorb from food. Deficiency of this enzyme can cause histamine intolerance. Among the naturally occurring fruits and vegetables some can be rich in histamines and some promote the release of histamine from mast cells. So, with consumption of food the reactions can vary.
Avatar n tn There's a post by Gus who asked the same question yesterday. Diabetes medicine Metformin helps to produce insulin in the gut to "help" lower your glucose levels. It doesn't perform miracles nor does it lower your glucose levels by itself. The key word is "help." Lifestyle change is required. This is done by controlling your glucose levels with proper nutrition, moderate exercise, and weight control. Read my posts in the threads from Darkestlight and Gus on this forum.

Avatar f tn "How long it will do its work before I have to increase dosage or change medication?" It would appear a lot depends on how well you are controlling and managing your glucose levels, your weight and if you are adhering to diabetic nutritional guidelines. Are you asking because your glucose levels are rising? What are your pre and postprandial levels? Increasing or changing medication is something only your doctor can decide as he/she has your medical records/history.
Avatar n tn I'm a ftm and I'm still really early at 8w2d. Last Friday I had my first appointment and had a lot of blood work done which is normal but I'm getting the tests back with not a lot of explanation. Its making me a little nervous. The thing that worries me the most is that the glucose test came out about 5 points high and I have to go in for the 3 hour glucose test. Has anyone had this happen and ended up not having anything wrong? I'm fearing the worst and hoping for the best.
1158557 tn?1262725929 Not too long ago I posted some information about the pill Crave Control. At that time I had not tried them, so I ordered them and began today. The only bad thing I can say about these is they are huge and you have to take 4 before breakfast and 4 before lunch, which is somewhat difficult to get down because of the size. I took my first dose at 5p and I can say I felt a difference by 6p. My mood did elevate, I noticed a little energy, and I was a little calmer.

So does that mean the sides could be worse since it is so high, would it slam the virus hard at first? Or could it mean my liver may be getting worse quicker since it is multiplying fast in my blood? here is some of my blood results today, hcv rna detected 24,100,000 IU/mL Log =7.38 glucose 122H BUN 10 Sodium 135 L Potassium-4.
6229533 tn?1383271177 I've been on clonopin for 2 years to treat major anxiety. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped immediately to avoid complications. I saw my psychiatrist today and she put me back on it saying the benefits far out way the risks in my case. I haven't been able to work or really function in a month. The Dr is preg too so I trust her but has anyone else taken antianxiety or SSRI meds while pregnant??
Avatar f tn I have my glucose test next week plus I go in for my regular check up also. I need to request time off of work for it, but I'm not sure how long I should request off. How long did your glucose test take to complete? How fast did you get the results back?
