Avatar f tn Hello everyone. I'm new to this website and usually never post anything on the internet bit I have got to a place where I need some advice. I was diagnosed with ADHD 9/9 in March this year by a phsyciatrist at a harley street in London(remotley) I tried stimulants dextroamphetamine and listamphetamin but they didn't agree with me. I was then prescribed atomoxetine. I took these for 4 weeks- start with 10mg then 20mg then 40mg and called my harley phsyciatrist as I was running out.
Avatar m tn Hi guys, I hope someone is able to help me with this… I am currently taking Atomoxetine – a medication used to treat ADHD in adults. I take 40mg once daily in the morning and it really helps me to concentrate better and function the way I need to etc… One of the main issues I have is the effect it has on my penis and testicles.
Avatar m tn Both do take a while to take effect (compared to a stimulant). If you google them, you will be able to see lots of anecdotal posts on how it worked for that poster or their children. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn 0) after being on a dug trail for Atomoxetine, (last year, at age 45 yrs) by an A.D.H.D. specalist team in Northampton England. Aparently many medical teams around the world dont belive a.d.h.d goes into adulthood, belive me it does! I have it extreamly badly, and after a disastor with Rittaline im now on Strattera (atomoxetine, which is not yet licenced in u.k.) is there any other adults out there that have been, like me, misdiagnosed for years because . .. when I was a child a.d.h.

Avatar n tn Hi. There is no current study that prohibits Atomoxetine (Strattera) users to take creatine supplements. However, caution should be made when taking supplements, since both drugs can alter kidney function and cause urinary symptoms (e.g. stones, dysuria) when not taken properly. I suggest that you ask your doctor first if these are safe for you to use. Thanks for asking.

How Buprenorphine Works Buprenorphine (Subutex) is an FDA approved drug that is used to treat opiate (narcotic) dependence and prevent its relapse, to decrease the withdrawal symptoms when getting off opiates and in some specific circumstances to treat chronic pain.
20003388 tn?1515166040 Every time I try a medication that has a reuptake effect on norepeneprhine I get this mild burning sensation on the left side of my chest. So far I have had this happen with Atomoxetine, Venlafaxine, Bupropion and now Nortrypytiline. It isn't anxiety, a panic attack or heartburn, just a dull, moderately uncomfortable, burning sensation. I'm fine with all the SSRI's and medications like Rexulti. It's just the ones that affect NE.
Avatar n tn Has your daughter tried a non-stimulant medication such as Straterra (atomoxetine)?
Avatar f tn Honestly, how do YOU react to HER when she's bad? Do you react loudly, wave your arms around, yell, get mad? They learn their reactions from us, and I am NOT saying that you're a bad parent (so please don't think so..we've all been there!) but if you want her to listen calmly, respond calmly, and learn discipline, you need to evaluate how you approach her. Most kids have the odd tantrum. This is OK and natural.
Avatar f tn I think it actually works we just did the deed and wow I hope it keeps up wish me luck ladies
Avatar n tn suboxone is a lifesaver, there is too much negative mis-information out there, how can ANYTHING be as dangerous as addiction itself...? i do believe in working the treatment with therapy, i feel it is a must!!! but feeling well enough, not high, not sick just normal so we are able to tend to these underlying issues that we have ignored for so long is just such a good feeling...suboxone DOES work!! CONGRATULATIONS TO] YOU!!! and keep up the good work... i am also on sub...
Avatar f tn Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Is there nothing in this world that excites you - that makes you glad to be alive? Do you know how short life is and how precious each moment is? The drama and emotion of detox or finally coming to grips that your addiction is destroying your life can distort reality. You suggest that you've given up after only two years. I say that you've just started. You have too many days and too much joy ahead of you.
Avatar n tn Although I don't disagree with the alternative options, I would say that we must be very careful if using anything herbal. We are not sure of the full make up of some products and it could interact with your normal medication. So just stay safe along those lines. We all hate benzos. But at times we have to submit to the fact that they are the only form of medication that do the trick. I have been hooked on xanax in the past and it was a nightmare tablet.
1102528 tn?1257811511 Keep going back to your doctor until they find something that works. Hang in there, it will get better for you after the next surgery is done. I am curious as to why the docs are waiting so long to reconnect you? It's usually only 3 months.
