I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Finally some answers. Daughter tested positive for OBands, I need to get the specifics on that. He is treating this as her first MS flare up. She will begin 5 days of IV steroids next week. Then we will talk meds. He did say that if she goes a few years after this with no flare ups he may feel comfortable diagnosing this episode as transverse myelitis. But for now MS it is. Thank y'all, I know I'll have a ton more questions!
After Friday's episode my appetite has been way off. So I havent been eating much, just chewing on ice. So thats why my weight dropped. My Dr said baby had a good heartbeat and reminded me that with how hes growing that he doesnt have much room there so his movements wont be the familiar kicks and punches... more like rolling and stuff. I got paranoid about his movement today so they settled that for me.
I agree with Jaquta, it will be interesting to read the expert's response... where is that fellow....
But seriously, I would have to say that the answer to your question depends on whether or not there is any evidence of mood cycling before this.
Your family member might want to read up about cyclothymia and hypomania which are milder forms of mood cycling. If you have access to a library I like the book "Why Am I Still Depressed?
But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
I thought I was going to see one who specializes in Chiari Malformation because that is what I was told, however he did not seem to know much about it. He saw my episode firsthand and told me that most of my symptoms are not related to Chiari. He was clueless to what I have because he has never seen anyone like me before. He does not know what could be the cause of me having these symptoms or had any idea of what it possibly could be.
The stool was firm but there was blood present. Is this just blood that remained from the previous episode or am I off to the Dr again?
No groups have been suggested to me or offered. I feel out in left field all alone. Are there any hoarders in this company, and what are they doing to deal with it?
Just an update: It was a sinus abscess, diagnosed with a CT Scan - headaches are almost gone!

So I have just recently found out that Im pregnant. this is my first pregnancy. I am however epileptic. I take keppra 500mg/2x a day I was just wondering will this effect the baby in any way? This is the only medicine that has worked for me. I haven't had an episode since Nov of 2013. Please let me know!
Yesterday my brother, who is an 18 year old male who is in good shape, eats and exercises on the average and has no real major health concerns except for slight asthma, had a episode where he stated that he first had chest pain and (it had happened before but went away within a couple minutes) then as he was walking across the hall, just fell into a semi unconcious state and was twitching like he had a seizure.
I have had persistent mucus in my stool for the last 4 months. First episode I passed mucus on it's own and was advised after stool and blood testing that it was a bacterial infection. 4 weeks later it returned except this time mucus wrapped around the stool - did the same tests with the same results. Now the mucus has returned - not in as great quantity but it is visible. No other symptoms such as blood, consitpation, diharrea or weight loss.

About 1 year ago I had a priapism episode after a bit of an overdose of Cialis (maybe 40 mg) and alot of alcohol. At the time the Cialis was mostly for reassurance and not that necessary.
My guess is that I had an 8 to 10 hour erection that went away on its own without medical intervention. Definitely a strange feeling after that incident for quite awhile... a sensation of slight penis discomfort that I never had before.
for about the last week i have been getting by on about 2 hrs asleep each night then working a8 hr shift, i really dont feel tired an have tried sevral otc sleep aid to no avail, does this sound like a mania episode starting, i have no idea what might have triggered if it is an how do i stop it already on 100mg of lamictal daily
