Avatar m tn or are you questioning risks of heart attack from the procedure? or are you asking how to lower risks of heart attack in general? In case the latter is the question, which I'm guessing, then lowering risks of heart attack are.... Medication, such as daily aspirin to reduce clotting. Healthy diet, low in fats. Regular exercise. Low emotional stress levels. Have blood cholesterol levels checked every year to ensure they are lower than average.
Avatar n tn Can I safely stop taking Plavix and continue with th 81mg of asprin. I did not have a heart attack, I had an agina attack. I had open heart surgery, one bypass in the LAD in 2000. I am bruising very easy lately and wonder if I'm doing more harm than good with the current medications.

Avatar f tn Mild hypokinesis of the apex means that the tip of your heart has mildly reduced contraction. This may be due to a prior heart attack, a blockage in a coronary artery, long-standing hypertension, or other conditions. Again, a physician who knows you well can make the decision of how to further evaluate this and what the significance of this is. I hope this is helpful. Very best wishes!
Avatar m tn Hi Parijat, to relieve your fear, have him to the doctor and get a good checkup, im sure this will rest your concern.
Avatar m tn Have you had chest pains, prior heart attack, other tests, etc.? Then the doctor will anaylze the information with your health history, symptoms, etc. From the information provide, there appears a probablility of an abnormal blood flow to anterolateral portion of the heart. Hope this provides some insight. Thanks for the question and if you have any further questions or comments you are welcome to respond.
1211508 tn?1343079605 A friend of mine recently had a fatal heart attack while mountain biking a few days ago. He was 46. He wasn't overweight. I'm already totally FREAKED about something like this happening to me, esp now that I have a son. Is it likely that my friend had bad genes??? I just can't imagine a person with "normal" genes dying so young of a heart attack while bike riding.
Avatar m tn she said i cant belevie you did that patrick. amanda said patrick im really mad at you right now and i said to her i was sorry for doing it and she said i forgive you.
Avatar n tn My father just passed away tuesday morning. He had a heart attack at work. He had some minor pains before goign to work but insisted it was indigestion. He was with a co-worker in the factories office area and sneezed. Right after her sneezed, he fell over and was unable to be saved. Could the sneeze have been the fatal action? Curious as to if the sneeze had not occured, would it just have prolonged his chest pain and the inevitable were to happen anyways.
Avatar m tn Or it could be esophagitis where the sphincter is weak at the top of the stomach. Believe me, when acid goes into the esophagus, it feels just like a heart attack, I've experienced both. Make sure you are sitting upright for up to an hour after eating and before you eat, try taking some anti-acid medication. Perhaps your Doctor will be willing to try you on a proton pump to see if this is the problem, such as Omeprazole.
Avatar m tn Your doctor knows the major limitation of the stress test approach is that it requires high-grade stenosis to indicate heart attack risk. And high-grade stenosis, while a good indicator of advanced arterial disease, is NOT the major cause of myocardial infarctions (heart attack).
Avatar n tn Dear Sirs, I have taken a medicine called trileptal for about three days, one per day before sleeping, and i stopped together with another medicine called dogmatil also i stopped at the same time, after that i started to feel very bad things, to put it short panic attack, anxiety, confusion,do not know whats happening around me, sweeting, did not sleep for almost a week, insomnia, everything was hard. Avatar n tn In one area it is usually a sure sign of artery blockages or previous heart attack. With global it would be a good start to have the major coronary arteries scanned to see what the circulation is like. You also have severe dysfunction of the left ventricle meaning there isn't enough oxygen. A barrage of tests are required to determine the cause and give the best course of action. The echo just shows the movement of the heart walls and doesn't really give the reasons.
Avatar f tn Three deficiency states that raise homocysteine (significant risk of heart attack and stroke) is vitamin B6, B9, and B12. Chest pain and fatigue are symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency alone. Smoking also raises homocysteine levels hence why heart attacks are common in smokers. Inflammation and oxidation cause heart disease. Megadoses of B vitamins help lower homocysteine. My mother had severe angina pain and a homocysteine level of 19.2umol/L. Healthy is 6.3umol/L. Dangerous is above 12.
Avatar f tn Thanks Sir for your valuable comments. We went for the echo test sir. They said the same heart pumps blood difficult. Already my mother undergoing treatment for past five years for lungs due to pneumonia issues. We asked whether the heart has any heart attack blocks due to this. As suddenly last month she had sever pain in heart admitted in hospital. They gave this above report in ECG. Now they says to take angiogram test.
Avatar n tn could it be a panic attack?
