Mucinex D active ingredients are 600 mg guaifenesin and 60 mg pseudoephedrine. Please help do i need to take to emergency vet or will he be ok? he has been acting ok and he has eaten his food and drink water since.
For a while I've been needing to "sigh" a lot before I talk, because I feel like once I start I'll run out of air. It was a fairly rare thing that I just got made fun of for. It's been happening more recently, and it feels like my throat and chest is restricting. I've been blaming it on allergies and the fact that I'm pretty much always congested.
So just the other day I decided to try it out of desperation. I purchased mucinex d. It has Guaifenesin 600 mg and Pseudoephedrine HCI 60 mg as the ingredient. I had to turn in the card and get it at the pharmacist. I took it like it says (2 pills) and went to bed. I woke up and slowly started to feel a little different in my ear but still had the symptoms. By the 2nd day I noticed a big difference!!! It felt like my ear was releasing the built up pressure.
First product you want is Mucinex D (guaifenesin and pseudoephedrine). This product will dry out your sinuses and help clean your Eustachian tube that runs from your nasal cavity up to your ears (this is where your ear pain, balance issues, and hearing problem come from). This product will also thin your mucus to help you get it out instead of being so thick that coughing is a chore with little effect of getting it out.
Guaifenesin, how much is an Overdose? My daughter 11 years old 100 lbs (big for her age), took (the correct dose) 5mL cough and cold medicine that had the following in that dose. Guaifenesin, USP 100 mg, Dextromethorpan HBr, USP 10 mL. Phenylephedrine HCI, USB 5mg. But then she also took (the correct dose) 10 mg of a prescription medicine Guaifenesin-Codeine syrup (generic for Robitussin AC syrup). It doesn't state on the label the quantity of Guaifenesin mg in the 5mL dose.
I've had asthma since I was little, and as far as I've gathered, expectorant is for non-asthmatic cough sufferers while mucolytics are for asthmatics. Is this true? What's confusing me though is why "guaifenesin", a component in one asthma pill I used to take, is used as an "expectorant", and the only OTC drug available for the purpose of easing the removal of phlegm here in the U.S.
The alternative is guaifenesin, which you can buy over-the-counter. Mucinex contains guaifenesin, but I would get the plain guaifenesin. It works very well.
I do know you only need the plain kind, nothing else should be in it just guaifenesin. If you get the one with that is mixed it can have the opposite reaction. Also you need to drink plenty of water!! YOu have to do this in order for it to work. I just started taking clomid and i read to start the guaifenesin on day 10 till ovulation. On a website for fertility i read that you need to take 200mg three times a day!
yes, well sort of. It's Guaifenesin an ingredient found in cough meds. You can usually find a store brand of robitussin that has only Guaifenesin in it. The ingredient is made to break up mucus, but if taken while you ovulate it can make your CM more compatible with sperm.
) which lingered for about 3-4weeks. i had also taken pseudoephedrine/ been taking high dosage birth control pill which was congruent to the onset of the weird sensations in my feet, legs, arms. afterwards i started googling symptoms and HIV came up which added to my anxiety 10 fold. He says that with this protocol, you will notice that your symptoms will at first become worse, but will gradually disappear. He swears this is the way to reverse fibro. Now, when I heard this, I was obviously a little skepticle (who wouldn't be when you are told that Mucinex is the cure for fibro!) So I wanted to know if anyone here has heard of or tried this approach.
Has anyone ever gotten guaifenesin with codeine prescribe. Want to know feed back on it I'm 12+4 days. Help please trying to get rid of this plhuem I had still. But kinda un sure.
If you were my patient, I would advise you to take something that does NOT have pseudoephedrine in it. There are lots of products and it might be best to ask the pharmacist when you are in the store. Something like Nyquil might suit.
