My mother is 55 yrs old & recently we knows that she's diabetic her test shows 360 after food & 230 in fasting. Doctor wrote him medicine named GLUCOVANACHE 500 mg half tab after lunch. Is this medicine useful for her? or is there any other medicine should be given? Plz tell me what are Do's & Dont's meal for diabetic patient? what are the vegetables that contains sugar?
My levels can increase 25 to 100 points after taking my medication (GLUCOVANCE) whether I eat or not. Earlier today I ate a meal which included a lot of carbs. I checked my blood sugar before and after. My blood sugar level dropped 50 points.
I know that weaning off of cymbalta causes a myriad of side effects with brain zaps being the worst. I have researched to see if there is a link between coming off of cymbalta and this problem with my blood sugar.

Each time, I'm driving at least 80 kilometre per hour . It's always in the morning. And it starts with my feeling a little dizzy, then my vision starts narrowing, my hands start feeling cold and clammy, and I start feeling extremely disoriented. Hi there. Ocular MG is a disease of the neuromuscular junction resulting in muscle weakness and fatigability. This is an autoimmune disease where anomalous antibodies are produced against the acetylcholine receptors in voluntary muscles. The most common presentation is double vision and eyelid drooping or ptosis wherea the pupil is spared. Diplopia is seen when MG affects a single extraocular muscle in one eye, limiting eye movement and leading to double vision.
This medication was discontinued and I was prescribed Glucovance. Oh my God. My blood sugars soared to over 400. I ended up in the emergency room twice and immediately was put back on Humulin N (20u in the morning and 10u at bedtime). After doing research, I found out that birth control makes diabetic women blood sugars worse. Has anyone hears of such?
Another conversion chart says that 60 mg of Armour is equivalent of 75 mcg of T4. For the latter, that would have been 120 mg of Armour instead of 90. So, just be aware that you most likely will need an increase, for that reason as well continuing to have symptoms.
Another couple of things to consider is that any med with T3 in it is best taken by splitting the dose in half and taking 1/2 in the morning and half in the afternoon.
The doctor just started my Mom on Zyprexa 5 MG today, she has Alzheimers and is taking Tradazone and Buspirone . An hour after taking the Zyprexa she was confused and thought my nephew was her child.She is 80 and lives alone,My sister her main caregiver lives next door and takes care of her meds and food, We are afraid she will not sleep with this new med.and wander outside.any thoughts from anyone..
i am on paxil 30 mg once a day and i have noticed that i can not get off when my husband and i have sex- is this a side affect to paxil - also i have been getting headaches is this a side affect also - also is weight gain a side affect also
please let me know if not getting off with my husband during sex is normal

I have been on Topamax for 2 1/2 years and it doesnt seem to be working anymore. I went to a neurologist and he raised my dose from 100 mg to 125 mg about 3 wks ago. The headaches are still there...everyday, some stronger than others, but EVERYDAY. I also take 450mg wellbutrin. I dont know if I should call the Dr and ask him if I should start taking 150mg or does anyone think its too early to say (3 wks) I take relpax when they get real bad and that works great, but 4 hrs later...
