The home tests are quite accurate, they look for glucose within the urine and I would guess they are 99% accurate. Generally though we watch for clinical symptoms, specifically drinking and urinating more. By the time the glucose overrides the kidneys filtration system and shows up in the urine, your dog would be showing signs. More importantly, speak with your vet about weight loss strategies. Like in people, diabetes in pets can usuallybe prevented through maintaining a proper weight.
The doctor said I had glucose in my urine. She is going to retest me again in 2 weeks. I went in 2 weeks ago for the sugar test and passed with a 131 cutoff is 135. So my question is has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean I am going to develop gestational diabetes?? I am not over weight but I do have a bad ice cream habit...been known to eat a pint of ben and jerrys a nite!!! Any input would be appericated..thanxs!!
Ive had this twice at my appointments staight after each other my blood work came back fine glucose tt then went for my next midwife appointment and sugur was in urine again so had to have another glucose tt and a diabetes fasting test and yet again nothing im now 33 weeks pregnant and all going well im on antibiotics for some kind of infection but thats normal sometimes you will have sugar in your urine if your bloods come back ok try to cut down on your sugar intakes this helped me :-)
m pretty sure keytones in urine means ur not eating enough carbs. On occasion its not harmful to you or the baby ..
Dear Doc, i am working in offshore from last 5 years, in my last vaccation in August 2017 i started mild burning sensation, on last day of leaving for work i consulted doctor he told me to take complete urine test.. unfornately i got report after 2 days by accessing online system . so didn't got chance to meet doctor after urine report..herewith i am posting my complete report can u please chaeck any problemn in my urine report.. as of now my burning sensation gone without any treatment..

Today I went to the doctor because I have been itching like crazy, but my doctor is straight up with me and he told me that I have protein and glucose in my urine. So went to the doctors and had my pee checked like usual visits. This time the results came back that I have 250 glucose in urine... I called the doctor as I was concerned and she said she's not very concerned about it. Can't stop thinking about it and wondering if anyone knows if it's really no big deal or if it can be serious? Havent been able to get this off my mind!
There are times when I check my urine for ketones when my blood glucose is particularly high. For example, this morning before I had eaten a bite, my blood sugar was 406. I checked my urine for ketones at that time and it showed moderate to high amounts of ketones in my urine. This afternoon after I ate, my blood sugar was 521 and I checked for ketones again. On the second check, it was negative to a trace. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this to happen?
Is this a decent first step for checking for diabetes? I have been told its for checking to see if you have any glucose in the urine, depending on that you would then need the blood test. Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms.
s usually well managed. My urine test showed my glucose is 250 in the urine, but my sugar checks are usually in range 2 hours after I eat. Can this high glucose in urine cause these problems I'm having for the last 10 days? I've been on doxycycline for the last 6 days, but it's not helping at all. Any advice would be appreciated. no. at 36 weeks, they found glucose in my urine and told me it wasn't anything bad. it was probably from a sugary drink or something.
my life insurance company also found some in my urine, but i was told that was okay by my OB because they did a hemoglobin A1C (averages your blood sugars for extreme dips or rises) and that was also normal. how far along are you?
