I also buy the Pedigree dog food which has one where it has glucosamine in it for healthy joints. Ofcourse ask your vet if Glucosamine would be ok for your dog to take because I don't know if hip arthritis and hip dysplasia is the same thing. I hope and pray your baby gets better.

I have heard many different things about glucosamine for dogs . That is is okay for your dogs, and also that it isn't. There can be many benefits to providing supplements for your dog. It can help them remain healthy and with that even happier. No one likes to deal with a grumpy dog. Can you tell me where I could find more information about glucosamine for dogs though?

I am looking for natural arthritis remedies for a 10 year old chihuahua. I read somewhere that blackstrap molasses works wonders for arthritis pain in dogs. I also heard of extra virgin coconut oil and apple cider vinegar. I am really tempted to mix all these and give it a try. Has anyone tried these? or are there any other natural remedies? My dog has been on metacam but it doesn't work very well, I can tell she is still in pain.

Dose for the Chinese Formula's if only a human formula is available would be 1/10 to 1/8 of a human dose.

5 pound schnauzer and has been limping a bit after exercise. I have started giving her 500 mg of glucosamine a day and wanted to know if this is the right dosage?
My doctor has run many tests for autoimmune disorders and they all came back negative. I am on Arthrotech for hydrocodone for the pain and it works pretty well. About a year ago I had a bad flu and developed welts on my legs that turned into sores and then scarred over.

But just last week without knowing I was pregnant, we put our house on sale and I did massive house cleaning. I used several cleaning products including glass cleaner, CLR, Mr.Clean all purpose cleaner, bleach powder and bleach liquid without using gloves for 2 consecutive days. Most of these were pumps and not aerosol sprays. I was continually using them, so would believe I would have had atleast 8 hours of exposure though whiffs, and through the skin.
He may not have the enzymes to utilize the Glucosamine like he did before the gastric tube. Glucosamine Hcl is cheaper and it is harder for the body to utilize than the higher quality Glucosamine sulfate.
With that being said, Glucosamine sulfate is commonly use in people who have GI problems because it helps to protect the mucus membranes and heal injuried tissue. It is a very important supplement in IBS, Chrones disease, ulcers etc.,

hi have a 14 yr patterdale/lakeland her joints are stiff and shaky i have been giving her adult glucosamine sulphate for a few months now but doesnt seem to be getting any better or worse should i increase the dose
My vet said it was ok to get human vitamins for them. He also said it was ok to feed food with glucosamine plus the vitamins.
