Avatar n tn It is not considered a narcotic but some people can become addicted to it but I think that is just a physical addiction and the doc can get you off by gradually lowering the dosage. I took it for years and really liked it because it was not a narcotic but it can effect your liver and that is what happened to me, so I had to go off of it. Going off was no problem especially since they replaced it with a different pain med.

Avatar m tn Normally methocarbamol (Robaxin) are indicated as an adjunct to rest, physical therapy, and other measures for the relief of discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. The mode of action of methocarbamol has not been clearly identified, but may be related to its sedative properties. Methocarbamol does not directly relax tense skeletal muscles. I have used it is the past as a muscle relaxant and found it fairly effect.

Avatar n tn I'm a 38 year-old male diagnosed with MVP 15 years ago. At my last echo (Sept. 2008), I was told my Left Vent. was enlarged (6.4 cm). That's about 1/2 cm larger than at my echo prior to this one (April 2000). I feel fine except for various MVP symptoms (palpitations, anxiety - which I've always dealt with), EF was normal, normal sinus rhythm, blood pressure has always been normal, pulse rate in the 50's and I tolerate physical exertion very well.
687729 tn?1397992727 I am moving to Knoxville from Michigan and I am addicted to Opana ER. There is only one doctor in Knoxville who prescribes narcotics and Opana isn't helping with my chronic pain, anyway (I have had five back surgeries). I tried detoxing by switching to Dilaudid, taking smaller and smaller doses... Then, an injury in Physical Therapy put me back on my full Opana dosage. I've tried using Kratom for the pain and it keeps me awake. Can the fast-acting Oxymorphone be cut in half?

Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating.Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. If there is any itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken. I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Avatar m tn High index materials used to make strong eyeglass lenses often cause color distortion at the periphery of the vision, if that's what you mean by 'not clear.' If you are talking about the edge of the lens material itself appearing 'cloudy' where it sticks out beyond the eyeglass frame, the edges of the lenses can be polished at the optometrist's office.

Avatar f tn If necessary, get your doctor to prescribe something like trazadone, an anti-depressant with sleep inducing properties. I have detoxed from Methadone more times than I care to remember and YES, there is an end in sight. You may have to resort to a prescribed sleep aid and other meds to get you through this. The key is being honest with your doctor and yourself. The thing is you do not want to return to the methadone.

Any that do cross the blood-brain barrier are quickly exported from the brain by P-glycoprotein (Pgp), also known as multidrug resistance protein (MDR1). Tolerance in response to long-term use has not been reported. However, loperamide can cause physical dependence.
