Avatar n tn I hope you do find one that will help you. Nursing is a very physical and mental job and dealing with pain also has to be stressful to say the least. If you need further help please let me know.
Avatar f tn My husband has been seeing a pain management doctor since 2011 for chronic back pain that radiates pain down into his leg. His doctor is always amazed how he can walk because of the nerves and discs in his back are extremely severe. In July of 2013 my husband, John, fell and broke his femur.
Avatar m tn Ultimately the corporate responsible for her eviction was her cigarette smoking even though when she signed her rental contract over eight years ago the complex was a smoking campus, meaning she can smoke in her apartment, but due to changes made by new management and new policies shadowed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) her complex was now considered a smoke free campus. Meaning my mother was no longer able to smoke in her apartment.
1278098 tn?1297646373 I had reconstructive knee surgery 19 months ago that left me with 8 screws, a hinge and a plate in my knee. I work in a nursing home caring for the sick elderly. I was on Perks for 3 years and have quit 32 days ago. I am having a hard time managing my pain..I take Tylonal and anti inflammatories...is there anyone out there that has any suggestions for pain management? I am at my wits end and I will not go back to anything that is addictive.
284738 tn?1283106819 Teachers could attest to what kind of a student you were and the fact that you have the smarts, drive and detemination to finish and become a good Nurse. If you are in the Nursing field now then one from a Teacher and one from a current management person would be the best IMO. Good luck and congrads on going back.
10228675 tn?1423881456 I'm curious the best place to buy Nursing tanks from? Before pregnancy i was a 38F.. now that bra is way to small.. so im looking for a nursing tank that my boobs will actually fit in.
Avatar f tn Family can be one of the most difficult issues we face as chronic pain patients. They don't understand it to begin with and as far as opiate therapy is concerned, they're operating on the assumption that being physically dependent equals addiction. First, anyone on regular opiate medications will become physically dependent on them, meaning we experience withdrawal symptoms if it's suddenly stopped. It's the same withdrawal a strung-out addict experiences.
Avatar m tn sometimes my pain is so bad I resort to the Motrin and take it with tagamet or prilosec. I have had Hep C for 32 years.....Needle stick in nursing school...bummmmmmmer before they even diagnosed me. ("Non A Non B") Any way....I did a year of tx and 50 grand later it came back... I did have insurance for part of it though..70% of 50 grand I guess that I am venting . So if anyone has any ideas......Broke 4 ribs and twisted my spine.

Avatar f tn How can I locate a pain management practice that specializes on patients going through this syndrome?
Avatar f tn Hello Again Pam, I recall your post asking about the Avinza a bit ago and the following was my response: "This came from a trusted Medication website regarding avinza: "When used for an extended period this medication may not work as well and may require different dosing." You most certainly can build a tolerance to Avinza, or most any drug. Tell the NP to use her Taber's Manual to verify the information she is giving your daughter. Actual RLS is not caused from withdrawal.
1794671 tn?1338795391 I'm horrified that your doctor said you would not experience withdrawal if you just stop taking the hydrocodone. You WILL experience withdrawal and that is the very last thing you and your baby need right now. Withdrawal could very easily put you into labor so don't even think about quitting cold turkey. I'm actually more worried about the tylenol component of norco rather than the hydrocodone.
Avatar n tn Recently I have found myself not only hating nursing, but unable to perform my job adequately. I am overwhelmed by the enormous amount of work and I really don't think I can do it. Recently our staffing grid changed AGAIN and we now have 20% more work than we did when I got hired for this job 6 months ago. IT was tough then but it is impossible now. Job stress caused me to be hospitalized for depression 2 years ago; at that time I swore I'd never work in a hospital again.
Avatar f tn t take alot in the first place---but I tell you I feel the spine pain like mad after a day of nursing and its nice to feel it go away while I enjoy my family.
Avatar m tn All of the nursing homes are crummy and I don't agree with a nursing home stay as a cure or treatment for depression. Nursing homes are necessary and fulful a definite need, but psychiatric treatment is not one of those needs. In the best nursing homes there is a shortage of staff. They treat "depression" with a chemical straightjacket. Furthermore, the diet in most homes is lacking and good nutrition is part and parcel of treatment for depression.
Avatar f tn I was recently released from my pain management group for failing to get a pill count. I was NOT called for one and the nurse who said I was refuses to realize she made a mistake. And in the discharge letter it stated they would give me a 1 month supply of my medications to wean me off or until I find another group. Once again the nurse REFUSED to give me the meds and refuses to let me speak to the Dr. I have been using this group for 9 years. Have never refused a count, test or appt.
10261762 tn?1424370602 m 6 MONTHS PREGNANT. I think I need to start focusing more on the offices lack of management in this situation, because I am one cranky pregnant woman right .
Avatar f tn Now to my question, I am in the process of being referred to a pain management doctor. Is they going to cause them to turn me down and not see me as a patient?
2137220 tn?1340741325 I need some help, I'm 31wks 5d and I'm going to start searching for reasonably priced nursing bras. I'm a 38 C and need an idea of what size to buy, and where they sell good quality bras that aren't to pricey!
Avatar f tn I am a ftm and have less than 12 weeks to go and need a new bra. I was considering just getting a good nursing bra, since I'll be needing one anyway. Where is a good place to find a nursing bra and are there any brands or types that you moms prefer?
