Please clarify the statement below regarding cure for Chlamydia and NGU, speficially NGU. Would both Bacrtim DS OR Tequin cure NGU...or the two in combination. Just a little confusing for those of us who don't know. Thanks Doc..

No pain with urination really. Doc told me to take Tequin for 2 weeks. I felt no change in symptoms and saw another urologist. He advised me to take Bactrim DS for a month and a half, and the symptoms for the most part pretty much went away. Would once in a while get pain for next yr and 1/2 but it would go away within week. I later read that chlam/gon could cause prostatitis, so I went to get tested at a local STD clinic in October ’05 when I had no symptoms.
my doctor said that i have a bacterial conjunctivitis and ws advised to take zymar- gatifloxacin drops for 4x a day for 14 days. Now is my 3rd day of using the said medicine but i felt that my got swell..dont know if this is the effect...i would like to hear any advised..do i have to continue using the medicine of not? pls. help me..
I went to a eye doc, he gave me two eye drops. One carboxy methyl cellulose sodium 1% for dryness of my eye and another Gatifloxacin & ketorolac tromethamine eye drop for treatment. The doc told me something entered inside my eye.

I found a post that said that medications from the fluoroquinolone antibiotics (such as Cipro, Levaquin, Tequin, Avelox or Floxin) can cause these symptoms...I took Cipro and Levaquinn about 7 years ago, for a few short days each and my doctor switched the medication saying I was allergic. Now I am wondering if all my symptoms that have gone undiagnosed could be a side effect of those medications. Anyone else able to tie the two together? If so, what can you do to make it better?
Then 3 months later ,I got some itchy eye(again right eye), and i again went to eye doctor and was given antibiotic gatifloxacin ( if i correctly remember the name) and tear naturals which I used for 2months but still used to have itchy eyes
Then again in Feb I went to an eye hospital(as i used to have itchy eye-right) and they checked everything and told me everything is ok,its just dry eyes.
The more research I am doing --- I am thinking --- that my tendons were going bad --- I was taking a dose of fluorquinalones (TEQUIN) when I snapped my left tendon in my heel to toes area.
Talk about OWIE --- for weeks....
then prior to TX --- I had amazingly horrible charlie cramping from toes to heel in both feet.
Mostly the HEEL felt so super bruised for a long time.

She is allergic to cortisone and very soon after I put the first compounded drop (which contains predisolone sodium phosphate, gatifloxacin, and bromfenac) she became weak, trembling, heart and blood pressure increased dramatically and she said she thought she was going to pass out. Thank you so very much! it was really helpful. Its difficult to identify what is causing the allergic response. Being in the same environment, sometimes is less irritating, sometimes it is troublesome. So hard to say what is the exact reason. Will visit an allergist after completing the treatment from the ophthalmologist. As u suggested he has prescribed antihistamines and drops.
I had a doctor run a urine dip on me and there was blood in my urine with a higher white blood cell count than normal. She did give me the drug Tequin suspecting a possible UTI. The burning has been decreasing each day, but there is still some discomfort. Also, the tip of my penis is more sensitive and tender than normal since the burning urniation started. If I squeeze the tip I get a paining sensation.
