Gas problems after eating

Common Questions and Answers about Gas problems after eating

Avatar f tn Try going without dairy for a few days and see if that helps. Many people with UC are lactose intolerant. If that works then you can try using lactaid tablets whenever you ingest. Gluten can also be a problem for those with inflammatory bowel diseases. If the dairy doesn't work then try a gluten free diet for a month and see if you improve. Cutting out raw vegetables, barley, beans - high fiber foods may help.
Avatar n tn I avoided spicy foods and food that causes gas. I took Gas-Ex from time to time when the gas pain was severe. I took Pepto Bismol when I had diarrhea and cramping. I also took over the counter acid reducers for heartburn. My recommendation is to ask for a referral right away to a gynecologist and find out what other tests should be completed to further evaluate and treat the cyst.
Avatar n tn My doc had to put me on Pepcid (prescription). It helps. You take it before meals. I get bloated also after eating but the Pepcid helps this not happen. Make sure you are eating enough fiber, drinking enough water and exercising. When I exercise more I don't seem to get so much boating.
Avatar m tn Started back on regular food (for me) yesterday and am not experiencing the bloating I was before, so hopefully things are back to normal. Am feeling a little stuffed after eating sometimes (but I was eating small meals while on my diet of blandness) but no bloating like before. BTW, an aunt recommended Flaxseed Oil (in capsule) as a good dietery supplement to keep things regular. I have been taking anti-gas Legumase before diner and it seems to help (it doesn't hurt at least).
Avatar n tn I am a 38 year old male in relatively good health and I too suffer from Skipped Heart Beats due to intestinal distension or gas. 1 to 4 hours after eating usually does it. Within that time I will experience missed beats followed by several quick follow up beats. Sometimes it has been so bad I have started to black out. Limiting what and how much I eat is the only thing I know of to help the situation. I have had some cardiac work done but everything comes back normal.

148354 tn?1211237506 Since i was 15 yrs old I would get random sharp pains in my rectum that would literally take me out of my seat or have me bent over in complete pain. After the birth of my daughter it became much worse. I couldnt even have a BM or gas without being in excruciating pain. I was told it was IBS as well for 15 yrs, but that is total BS and now I know.
1222076 tn?1423031349 Their all about the same they just give me a little extra time until I have to eat or I will get real sick until I do and after eating or drinking certain thing can cause gas pains and other times im fine and can eat/drink whatever I want. I have had 2 upper endoscopys they just say my stomach produces to much acid. Im mainly just needing something to help control the gas pains or keep it from happening before it happens. My parents think I have something my grandpa use to have.
Avatar m tn some kind of bad reaction to one of the foods could be causing ur stomach problems. there might be a medical reason for ur gas in stomach as well. maybe a visiting a specialist for ur stomach would be a good idea.
Avatar n tn Thank you. I have been taking Nexium every day now. It has helped a lot with the trapped gas and some of the nausea I get after eating. I still get the "pressure in the throat" feeling and those sudden gag reflexes on random days. Still searching for a solution!
Avatar f tn Ultrasound and blood tests are normal. dont have gas problems. no bowel problems. no family history of any gastric problems... I ve been taking prilosec, in case its an ulcer, but that has made no difference... The doc said that it might be lactose or glutamine intolerance. I havent been eating dairy products and i felt better, but now its back to the same intensity (still not eating dairy)... Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Just recently (every day for the past few days) after eating I have nausea, abdominal pain and loose stool. Last year I had to have precancerous tissue removed from my cervix. I suffer from recurring Ovarian cysts. Usually the pain is so severe from the cysts that I end up in the hospital. For the last 2 months, my OB-GYN has me on birth control pills (Yaz) to help shrink the cysts. I am still having the Ovarian cyst pain.
Avatar f tn It has nothing to do with gas, indigestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea or acid reflux. I really don't have problems with these things. It is just solid pain and lasts for the whole day and night and starts all over again if I eat. It's like having a brick in your stomach. It is a dull constant uncomfortable pain. Not stabbing pain. It's been going on and off and mainly on for several years.
Avatar f tn I've been experiencing lightheadedness after eating for about 8 weeks. I'm 61, not overweight. The lightheadedness is followed by sweating, stiff neck and fatigue. The biggest trigger is refined sugars; it can be as long as an hour delay with other foods. Fruit isn't a trigger. I've tried smaller, more frequent low carb meals, which helps, but not entirely. The symptoms are milder on days when I do cardio.
Avatar m tn I sometimes experience stomach pain after eating a meal (usually breakfast). What happens typically is that I wake-up and eat a breakfast (sometimes leftovers from the previous nights, sometimes cereal). Then I’m out the door to catch the bus to go to school/work. It takes me about 1.5 hours to reach my destination, and I usually have to transfer several times. For the first part of my trip, I have a 45 minute bus ride where I usually nap.
Avatar n tn I have been getting an abnormal amount of pvcs for me in the last few days just after eating a meal. heart structure has been tested and is fine.
Avatar n tn Just a week ago, I felt very weak, nauseas, and wanted to just lie down after eating 2 fiber bars for breakfast (I've had some problems with them since this and have eliminated them from my diet) then I had a salad for lunch ( I also seem to have alot of problems with salads, even w/out the cheese.) As for the heartrate, I get that alot too, but as it sounds like you've done, I 've had all kinds of tests.
Avatar n tn I have a hard time eating almost anything anymore due to the way the food reacts after eating. My stomach growls so loudedly everyone hears it...It is most embarrassing, not painful but embarrassing. I have loose bowel movements also. Does anyone know what this might be and what I can do to releave it so I can eat like normal people again.
Avatar m tn I also suffer from severe stomach pain/chest pain , especially after eating, altered bowel movements, just been told it is just ibs but im still not sure that can cause so much pain!lost 40lbs in 2 months!,had ultrasounds, catscan, colonoscopy, endoscope, hida scan, stool test with negative is lapascropy to check for endometrosis in sept. I found a high fiber shake recipe that works when i cant tolerate food and relieves constipation.Peppermint oil works good for cramps and gas too.
Avatar m tn It seems worse as the day goes on, being more frequent after supper. It has come to seem that eating may bring them on or make them last longer. The good side of that is I'm losing wt, because I'm eating less. The bad side is I fear every meal. I am in a normal wt range so Wt has never been a factor in my heart issue. This beat skipping is frightening and has caused me a few trips to the ER. and consultations with Drs. The Drs.
Avatar n tn ) Nauseous and bloated, gas, you name it. I also manage to mess with my menstrual cycle, oftentimes completely skipping a month which then, laughingly, adds to the stress because I believe that I am somehow pregnant! Note the incredible toll that severe stress and anxiety takes on our bodies!
Avatar n tn After reading the other excessive coughing/mucus after eating thread which directed here, I just wanted to add my voice. I have a similar problem. After I eat I start producing an excess of mucus in my throat/sinuses. Mostly throat. I don't choke or anything but it's uncomfortable if I don't clear it. I doubt this is acid reflux. Why would acid produce excess mucus? Also, why would acid reflux not have any symptoms of heart burn or sore throat, or anything of that nature?
Avatar n tn ok now what if you have the nausea after eating and for the rest of the day/evening when your not eating and your not nervous or stressed out? its strange b/c if i were pregnant i dont know how it would be. i haven't had sex for 1 month cuz i had surgery and the last 3 days i have been with my fiance. its not posssible to experience prego symptoms 3 days in. ??
