Common Questions and Answers about Frequent urination and stress

frequent-urination

Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar n tn Eventually my symptoms had cleared up and the urologists I saw said there were no issues. So when this stress started up 2 weeks ago I started feeling this urge to urinate often and I was going to the bathroom on average 1 time an hour for about 3 or 4 days. I went to see my family doctor at this point and he ran some blood tests for me to help calm my nerves. Everything came back normal (kidney and liver functions). He, like myself assumed a lot of my issues were just nerves.
Avatar f tn One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods. I do not understand why i am experiencing frequent urination. It all started after i masturbated 5 days ago. Does it have to do with masturbation? I have also been very stressed out recently. Does it have do with stress?
Avatar f tn Anyway, it can be related to stress, anxiety, new situations or changes in schedule, even overstimulation and excitement. Believe it not, one of the best things to do is to make sure he stays hydrated, if he goes more when he does go, he will be less likely to feel more frequent urgency with less amount of urine output. If there are stressful situations affecting him, try to make sure he has some relaxation time, or quiet time to spend with his family.
Avatar n tn About 2 yrs ago i had a burning sensation and other problems, i consulted a doctor and he found out i had a UTI, i took antibiotic Cipro and it improved considerably. After a short while i started having the urge to go to the bathroom a lot, most of the time only a little urine would come out. I had a check for kidney stones, there werent any. Ive seen a bunch of doctors, before my urine test used to have a little blood. Recently that has not been the case.
Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar f tn I also went to 3 doctors after I had a frequent urination problem, all 3 ran tests and found nothing wrong. I also went to a doctor after generally feeling ill once. Again they found nothing wrong. I haven't been to the doctor regarding the hyperventilation or sleep paralysis. I do also get panic attacks sometimes. This leads me to believe all my symptoms are stress related.
Avatar f tn Since then I have been under a lot of stress and havent been eating. I have been need to pee a lot more and it feels more like the tip of my penis. I have no pain no blood, urine dip test all clear. I have no idea if its the stress or something with kidneys. My pee is always clear and yet I don't drink that much. 36 yr male.
Avatar m tn frequent urination (no night urination, even if I feel that my bladder is full, if I fall asleep I won't wake up until I'm supposed to); sometimes pain when I urinate (from mild to severe burning pain); shakes, nausea, cold body temperature and my face gets pale (but I guess those are caused by the Anxiety attacks cause they happen only when I'm in public and can't normally go); mild to severe kidney pains, usually severe as I said before, it stops my breathing.
Avatar f tn thank you! :) yeah i guess you could say that!
Avatar m tn I finished inside of her and my penis never really got hard. Is it to soon to get checked and is frequent urination a symptom?

1380526 tn?1292839385 Also is ur urine darker at times and clear on the frequent days? This could fit my theroy. Just be careful not to dehydrate yourself to prevent the constant BR trips. Too often people stop drinking enough to compinsate and that isn't good either What a pain in the neck this is. In more ways than one.
Avatar f tn I am a 25 year old female and for the past year or so now I have been getting sudden and frequent urges to urinate. I urinate at least once an hour and most of the time I feel like I have to go again about 15-20 minutes later. It seems to be worse when I'm laying down. I have never experienced incontinence and do not have a urinary tract infection.
Avatar n tn I've mastrubated recently, and then I had a frequent urge to urinate. I haven't had sex with anyone. But I have a good clue that my bladder is inflamed or something. There is no pain or blood anywhere. Can someone please answer to my problem?
Avatar m tn I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!
Avatar f tn to go, I actually go...and go...and go some more. About every 30 minutes to an hour. It has progressively been getting worse. I am in my mid 20's and am healthy besides that. I have had UTI's in the past and doubt I have one for I am in no pain whatsoever, I am 115 pounds and eat healthy so I doubt diabetes, and I dont think it is overactive bladder for I read that you get an "urge" to pee but dont actually go a whole ton.
Avatar f tn I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back. The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Avatar m tn t it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. I apologize once again.
Avatar m tn I went to the Doctor on last Thursday and last Monday and received a urine test both times and they both came out negative for everything. Since Monday, it was no longer the small need to urinate very shortly after I went once and then continue to urinate in small amounts.
Avatar f tn A neurologic problem, hormonal disorders, pituitary gland problems, a urinary tract infection, increase intake of fluids and certain medications. Certain tests may need to be done to have these differentials excluded. A baseline urinalysis and urine culture, urodynamic studies, and CT scan of the kidney, ureter and bladder may help. I suggest a consult with a urologist to at least rule out an underlying urinary tract infection.
Avatar f tn I am 25 and recently, i started experiencing frequent urination. I had side pain for a day so i got urine test done and it came out normal. The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina.
