symbicort

746512 tn?1388807580 Symbicort for example includes both Pulmicort, as well as an LABA called Formoterol. Another example is Advair (Flovent/Salmeterol). I would definitely recommend seeing your Pulmonary Specialist.
Avatar f tn There are many philosophies, but one protocol suggests albuterol should be used first and ipratropium five minutes later. Try the foradil (formoterol fumarate inhalation power). It too is expensive, but the company provides free samples.
Avatar n tn You and he/she will have to resort to other preparations, to include a different inhaled steroid, such as Flovent® HFA Inhalation Aerosol (fluticasone propionate), either alone or in combination with a long-acting bronchodilator, like Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) or Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder), such a combination being either Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol or Symbicort® (budesonide/formoterol fumarat
Avatar m tn They include salmeterol (brand name Serevent) and formoterol (brand name Atimos). Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.
Avatar n tn Does Symbicort 80/4.5 (budesonide 80 mcg and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 mcg) Inhalation Aerosol effect the eyes? Does it raise the interocular pressure if used with known glaucoma? This discussion is related to Borderline Glaucoma and Steroids.
Avatar m tn 1. what is the 'capsule' referred to in cataract posts. Is it the recess into which the implant is inserted? 2. post-op blurring can be either in the capsule or in the implant, I read. YAG laser clears both? 3. How is it that a plastic implant can get a cloudy spot?
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar m tn I was also taking anti-fungals having developed thrush from probably formoterol fumarate inhalers. I am also dealing with ringworm. Nothing grew from the cultures taken from blood, sputum, or a specimen from endoscopy. The pneumonia abated and while at home I felt remarkably better. Then my girlfriend noticed my hair was falling out at an alarming rate. While looking at the hair in my hand I noticed my fingernails had no cuticles! Feet are also affected.
Avatar f tn If you are really insistent about cheating death I would suggest you have your physician prescribe formoterol fumarate inhalation powder. It is sold as the "foradil aerolizer". It is long acting, and an alternative to oral steroids. It should settle down your lungs for a good three to four hours after use.
Avatar f tn During my one-week post-op checkup following bilateral explantation of Visian intraocular lenses, my opthalmologist commented that I have contusions (I assume bruising) on my anterior capsule in my right eye. I experience more blurriness and haziness in this eye in general, as well as starbursts from light sources. Any explanation of what exactly this means clinically and prognostically would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn Has any one of you with PCO have taken MACA capsule? Have you conceived after taking it?
Avatar n tn Saw the surgeon a month after cataract surgery, and he says I have a wrinkled capsule. I had complained about blurry vision. He said it's possible that I had it prior to the surgery, but all the reading I've done indicate that it's similar to a PCO (secondary cataract), and occurs after cataract surgery. He wants to wait for an exam by a retina specialist before going ahead with the YAG.
Avatar f tn He said that the lens was correctly located and the capsule intact. He proposed to treat it conservatively for another few weeks and if not resolved to do a simple procedure to "suck out" the gel. When I inquired if he had used a different surgical procedure based on the fact that he knew I was on Flomax he replied that he had not.
Avatar m tn I am a HBsAG positive since 2000, few days back i went to consult a doctor , and prescribe me Silbostin Capsules 2 times a day for 2 weeks. I went to buy in a pharmacy, they told me its a dangerous capsules. So please tell me what is this capsules and is it the idea of taking this pills will help me? I am a 30 years old male.
Avatar m tn Dr. Hagan, I would like your opinion about going back to the OR to polish the capsule in a case where it is not clear if a patient’s positive dysphotophasia is caused by PCO or the Crystalens HD? This would be in place of a YAG which would make a lens exchange a more risky procedure if the problem was not the PCO. Is the capsule tearing during polishing a major concern?
1274661 tn?1301868321 I think we all have fear of the unknown...a few members have had this testing with the BRAVO capsule...here is a link to a few of the threads- http://www.medhelp.org/forums/search/333?
Avatar m tn Initially it started with allergies, then asthma.....initial days my ventolin and formoterol inhalers were working, but last 3 years it is not helping much... I checked FEV which is 68% of predicted...but no significant increase in FEV1 after bronchodialator.... Every day I feel little tightnes, even if I take symbicort...daily moring and evening..... saw pulmonologyst 5 months back, he suggested to continue with the same+singulair.... Feeling very desprate....please help with some suggestions.
Avatar n tn You should have another follow-up x-ray, now. The prescription of Symbicort® (budesonide/formoterol fumarate dehydrate) Inhalation Aerosol does not mean you have asthma. It only means that your doctor suspects that you might have it. Given that it is now nearly 4 months since the bout of pneumonia, you deserve further diagnostic evaluation by a lung specialist.
Avatar m tn I went to a doc who said it was probably asthma and prescribed formoterol/budesonide and montelukast sodium. A few months later, my bedroom was treated for termite infestation, the fumes of which I presumed cleared up after about 4 days. After returning to my bedroom for a few nights, I woke up in a panic with severe SOB.
Avatar n tn I am going to recommend you save up your pennies and get some Foradil (formoterol fumerate inhalation powder). It is VERY expensive, but the 12mcg packets work almost immediately and are more effective than the albuterol sulfate. The Foradil will last for a long time. It will save you a hospital bill on a bad day. The albuterol suflate is short-acting. The steroidal inhalers do NOT work immediately.
Avatar m tn Hello. I had torn join capsule(thumb). It was immobilized for 20 days and now I should move it. The doctor said that when I move it, I might feel slightly pain, but when I try to press something with my thumb I feel very sharp pain. I am getting depressed, because I am not pretty sure what I am supposed to do. I will be very pleased if you could tell me!
