Common Questions and Answers about Fluconazole lotion

diflucan

Avatar m tn Hi, I am a 31 year old male and I took 2 doses of fluconazole to treat a yeast infection, I now have a rash coming up on the bottom of my feet only on the arches , ankles, wrist, hands, and arms. They are small flat head and raised like blisters but don't seem to be filled with fluid and doesn't really itch, can the fluconazole cause this skin reaction?
Avatar n tn I coated the rash on my hands with calamine lotion and it slowly went away. Weather it was totally due to the calamine lotion or the other meds I'm not sure. The meds taken were: Cephalexin (Keflex) 500mg, 1 tab for 4 days; Cetirizine (Zyrtec) 10mg, 1 tab a day for one month; Fluconazole (Diflucan) 100mg, 1 tab immediately;. The Predinisone (Deltasone) 20mg was not needed. The lotion Ammonium Lactae (Amlaction) was tried but wasn't really needed. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days. What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
Avatar m tn I have been to the doctor twice now to get it checked out. At first the doctor prescribe me some Fluconazole Tablets and Nystatin because she thought I had a yeast infection. After a month had gone by i have not seen an improvement. I went to the doctor again and saw another doctor. He prescribe to me clindamycin phosphate lotion. This also did not improve my symptom. Can someone tell me what's wrong with me.
Avatar n tn I went to a doctor and he said he believed it was a yeast infection and prescribed fluconazole. It also appeared to work until i fell asleep drunk with jeans on , the next morning i was irratated again. I returned to the doctors, the fluconazole no longer working and he sent me to the lab for a urine analysis; which returned negative. I heard herpes cant be detected via urine and when i asked him if he was sure it couldnt be herpes he reassured me it was not, only irratation.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar f tn my dr gave me fluconazole for my infection ,3 pills in 3 days .should we skip or take it regular.because she told me take it wednesday ,thursday ,and sunday,,thank..
Avatar n tn Wash the area with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use mild soap like dove. Avoid deodorant / cosmetics. If the symptoms persist then get a skin biopsy done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar f tn I’m a 20 year old female, and I have been dealing with tinea versicolor for going on 7 months. I’ve tried the shampoos and my doctor has prescribed me multiple rounds of fluconazole (spaced out between rounds) the rash went away after awhile, but I was not using the shampoo (I was using a natural soap on Amazon for tinea versicolor). Sadly, the rash came back after a month or so. I never stopped using that exact same soap, and I would shower normally 2-3 times a day (because I work out).
Avatar n tn Could be a fungal infection (thrush) - taking oral fluconazole (available from pharmacies without prescription in most countries) should clear it up.
Avatar n tn If you already have hsv1, it's not likely you'd get it again in a different location. If you tested negative for hsv2 at 16 weeks, you don't have it, so you can move on from that. My guess is that this is fungal. The smell is kind of the tipping point for that. It can be hard to get rid of these. I used to work with a clinician who would prescribe antifungal cream, and tell patients to use it 2 weeks past when symptoms cleared to make sure it didn't come back.
Avatar m tn I used it and it seemed to control the itching but never made it go away. I eventually went to a dermatologist and he presribed to me Cordran Lotion and 200 MG of Fluconazole tablets. They both seem to control the problem but again, does not make it go away. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn You may try calamine lotion on the bump. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash. If the bump is itchy, you can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin.
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Avatar m tn You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. If the symptoms persist then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Does it matter what lotion that i put on my belly? Sented, baby lotion, aloe...
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend a good stretch mark prevention lotion. I'm 18 weeks and my belly is pushing out and I want to not get stretch marks. All the help is appreciated.
Avatar m tn It wouldnt survive at all in lotion. Only in some bodily fluids can it live.
Avatar f tn Ive been using "cocoa butter lotion before and after pregnancy stretch marks" and it seemrd to work at first but now that im 8 months im getting stretch marks what else can I use im only 17 and want a prettty figure afterwards notna bunch of stretch marks lol
Avatar f tn Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
