Avatar m tn Sir, I had thrush on penis 10 weeks back. had fluconazole systemic for 15 days but relapsed again in 2 days. Since 1 month have severe myalgia. I tested for HIV I and II antibody in the 6th week and 10th week but negative. Tested p24 ag/Ab but negative in the 7th week. Do I have HIV. Still have itching and myalgia.
Avatar n tn So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt.
Avatar m tn After 2 weeks I developed candidiasis on penis. Doc prescribed fluconazole for 10 days. On 12th day it reappeared. Doc told me to continue fluconazole for more 5 days. After finishing 15 days course I developed myalgia. I tested For Hiv 1 & 2 antibodies in the 5th week. Then I did p24 ag/ab in 6th week. 8th week I again repeated the hiv 1&2 antibody test. I repeated the p24 test again in the 10th week all tests were negative.
Avatar m tn If one of the tests you had for HIV was a 4th generation DUO test done at 28 days post your last exposure, your results are conclusive. Fluconazole (Diflucan) is an antifungal medication used to treat serious fungal or yeast infections such as vaginal candidiasis, thrush and/or oral thrush, peritonitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach, urinary tract infections and a few other fungal/yeast based issues.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

Avatar n tn I came down with a sore throat, swollen glands, white discharge in the back of the throat as well as sweats and it closed up my throat. I was scared to death I had contracted HIV. Over the next 10 months I had 3 HIV tests and at 10 months had my last test which was still negative (ELISA) and PCR RNA test at 6 weeks which was negative. I stupidly did this while with the same person who I am still with.
Avatar f tn I completed my last dose of metronidazole 4 days ago and also took fluconazole after completion. I noticed a yellow tint on both sides of my tongue the Friday I completed the last pill and took the fluconazole. I was instructed to take metronidazole 2times daily for 7 days. During the time taking it i experienced pain in muscles, jaw pain, headaches, dizziness, sweating, pebble like stool...

Avatar m tn II with the last outbreak being almost two years ago, on the 15 Jul 08 I came out with what seemed like a penile yeast infection, I was treated with one fluconazole 150 and Lotrisone cream for 14 days, went away well, I also take Zocor for my hereditary high cholesterol. Around the 14th August 08 I was unusually very stressed about a business deal and later had some unusual dizziness, (It was accompanied by a short bout of dry long coughs), went away quickly..
Avatar n tn hello! I am worried with my yeast infection, It wasn't healed since I take a fluconazole once after my miscarriage and until now I have that infection... Is it possible that I will have HIV?
Avatar f tn 91 days after the assault, i tested negative for HIV, chlamydia, syphilis, tric, and gonorrhea. At the time, I had BV, but I cleared that with antibiotics. I also tested positive for a yeast infection and went through three rounds of Fluconazole since it wouldn’t clear. That was in September. It finally cleared in December and I’ve been on Fluconazole for suppressive therapy for a yeast infection for about a week now. I’ll continue that for six months taking one pill each week.
Avatar f tn Are you one any steroid medications like asthma inhalers? Steroids are notorious for causing thrush and I know, it *****! There is a pill that you can take instead of the Nystatin. It is called Fluconazole and you can get it with a prescription and it lasts a whole lot longer if this is something that you are going to continue to have. Rinse your mouth regularly and I hope that this will help.
Avatar m tn On the 17/Jul/08 I had my very first –supposed- penile yeast infection, saw a GP, he looked at it and prescribed one tablet of fluconazole 150 and Lotrisone cream for 14 days, it cleared it well.. On the 11/Sep/09 I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin for another infection, during which I developed what seemed like slight thrush on the middle of my tongue (still have it, didn’t get any worst).
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with male thrush and was given fluconazole for 3 days 400mg per day. But I had tingling sensation at my penis and went to see the dermatologist again. He said it's nothing and just gave me corticosteroids. I went for blood and urine tests. All negative for chlamydia, gonnorhea, syphilis, chancroid, HIV, HSV2. I also have unprotected vaginal sex with my wife ... she does NOT have any symptoms. No thrush, no discharge, no pain etc. My questions are: 1.
Avatar f tn Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...

Avatar m tn So far no one has been able to diagnose this. Anti fungals such as clotrimazole and fluconazole have not worked. The bumps can be scraped off with a toothbrush but will return within a few hours. If they are left, they will grow to the size seen in the picture over about 2 to 3 days and then seem to get a little wider and perhaps not so round. They then seem to scrape off by themselves simply by eating something.
Avatar n tn All of these things are opportunistic infections and common with HIV sufferers. One month after the one night stand I had an HIV test (antigen and antibody) and this came back negative. I had another antibody test after 3 months. This also came back negative. But i still suffer from all of these ailments! How can I have oral thrush for 5 months and be unable to get rid of this, plus all the rest! I am worried that my tests were still too early.
Avatar f tn Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
