Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared. My original symptoms were gone so I didn't bother taking the rest of the antibiotic.
Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!
I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.
He is Rxing fluconazole for 6 weeks, one tab a day, 100mg. Is this safe? I am healthy for the most part, 40 yr old female with Hashimoto's. My main symptom is chronic stomach bloating. It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days.
What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
This time I took fluconazole 150 mg that my doctor prescribed at the last visit. I even took a second dose 72 hours later and I am still having itching, redness, and soreness. The first two weeks my symptoms were severe night sweats ,chills wheezing cough , sinus congestion, headache, very sore when swallowing [felt like I had swallowed razorblades] and white coating on my tongue . The second week I bought over the counter amoxicillin 500mg twice daily for 10 days standard medication for Strep throat . After taking the antibiotics[ week two] for 6 days the night sweats chills ,headache and severe pain when swallowing these symptoms disappeared.
Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Now I'm scared because I don't know if I could take this pill this late in my pregnancy I'm 39 week now. Have anyone ever took this pill after 35 weeks?
Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
He asked me to apply clotrimazole and take fluconazole tableets orally. But it didn;t help and penis glans soon filled with rashed. I visited another doctor who said that it is Erythroplasia of Queyrat. He asked me to stop medication and wash penis twice a day with Betadine 10% sol. I did the same and rashed disappeared. However left side of the penis did not heal completely. It was red and still it is. Doctor told me not to worry and stop using perfumed soaps. I did the same.
So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt.
I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). This has not cleared the thrush either.
Up till now, my thrush is still not cleared (since november 2010). I am afraid that it might have become very resistant to medication. Could you please advise me on what to do? Are there any other medications that I can take?

I've been to my doctor to see if they can help me and the gave me fluconazole 150mg. But I notice that I have these patches on my penis one under my foreskin and the other 3 under my my shaft. I've been tested only Positive for oral herpes, everything else was negative. The patches are shiny and itchy I don't know if I should go to a different doctor or a specialist.
Hi, I am a 31 year old male and I took 2 doses of fluconazole to treat a yeast infection, I now have a rash coming up on the bottom of my feet only on the arches , ankles, wrist, hands, and arms. They are small flat head and raised like blisters but don't seem to be filled with fluid and doesn't really itch, can the fluconazole cause this skin reaction?
My armpits have recently become uncomfortable and itchy and I get a throbbing headache thAt comes and goes. Once or twice only I got this weird shooting pain down my left leg that only lasted like a second but that I've never experienced before.. I'm really stressed abou the whole thing which could influence symptoms because I have a sweetheart of a girlfriend that I'm going to have to tell about this, ive been working away from home and her all summer.
