fluconazole hair loss

Hi, I'm 32 yrs old and a mother of two. The youngest is 14months. I know that I'm supposed to have hairloss after birth, but I noticed that it was turning into patches of baldness. I've tried to better my diet and when doing a bit of research, found that one of the side effects of taking fluconazole was hair loss. I've immediately stop taking this and want to know if my hairloss situation should get better.

neoral definitely is associated with this type of hair growth. the hair loss is probably related to telogen effluvium, which can occur this time post-transplantation.

I have had some itchiness on my pubic hair, but that looks like ingrown hairs from hair regrowth. I have pretty severe health anxiety associated with a cancer diagnosis that I recently finished treatment for. I’ve been in remission for 2.5 years. I’ve looked online, but I can’t find any indication that it’s herpes since they aren’t itchy or red. I’m not sure if I’ve had a herpes test, but I emailed my OBGYN to try to figure that out.

Itching subsides while using the cream and reappears after stopping. I have tried applying it for two weeks. But itching recurred. Then i consulted a doctor and she advised me to continue on candid B, keep the area clean and wash with warm water, avoid tight inners ..etc .

Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

She said I might have a fungal infection so she gave me Fluconazole 150mg one doze and said to come back if it doesn't go away to have biopsy for vitiligo. Waited for 15 days but the skin was still the same I only had white discharge. The itching was slightly cured by the fluconazole so i think it might really be a fungal infection.

* if hair is loss due to immunosupressive medication and you use minoxidil to make it grow back- (no family history of female pattern hair loss)- why has my head hair fallen out along with the excessive hair growth?- * if i start to use topical minoxidil now to make my hair grow back, do i have to use it forever, even though the original hair loss was caused by chemo meds? eg.

Curious, If any of you have experienced this- I'm post Hep C treatment approx 3 mo but during the course of my treatment...I developed "Hashimoto's thyroidism" and a persistent case of "Thrush". I'm working my way back to a stabilized TSH in the thyroid and thrush is getting under control...I finally feel like I might be "turning things around". One of the biggest symptoms of the above is "extreme hair loss".

Low iron levels can cause hair loss. You might want to get that checked.

I'm losing hair too. Not in clumps but I clog the drain once a week from my hair loss. And all my friends said their hair was so full and healthy during pregnancy and after lost some. I get a ball of hair during evey wash and its not normal for me also my scalp itches like crazy and I don't have bugs lol o had my husband check lol!

It started freaking me out so my hubby looked it up and said the number one cause of hair loss in women is pregnancy...

Especially after combing my hair,there is a ton of hair in the sink. However my hair seems to be growing as fast as it falls out so I have thickness still. Someone told me to drink more milk and I find on the days that I do I see less shedding.

I actually posted about this a month or so ago. I have hair loss that really started post Tx. My hair didn't grow hardly at all during Tx, than about 6 weeks post Tx it really started falling out, probably lost 50%. Everyone says it should grow back fine after 6 months post Tx. I figure it is the least of my worries. Looking for my SVR12 in 3 weeks. Hang in there.

On a 12 week treatment with peg , ribavirin and sovaldi should I experience hair loss ? I am a hairstylist with very long thick hair ,still planning on working . Not planning to tell clients about treatment ,mostly due to fear they will not understand . How much hair loss should I expect?

5w 5d and have been having major hair loss in the past 2-3 weeks.. Is that normal at this stage??

But, every few years my thyroid just burns out, and I go hypo. When I do I experience extreme hair loss and brittle nails. For me, the animal based thyroid substitutes work much better when I'm in a hypo phase. Additionally, sometimes when I am not hypo, the medication I take for my Graves' just knocks down my T4/T3 levels so low that once again I start to lose a lot of hair.
