So the doc told me the monistat three day is safe and my mom got me the generic three day. Sorry if this seems dumb to whoever, i jus want to be safe.
I am 9 wks pregnant is it safe to take the fluconazole 200 mg to treat my yeast infection? It is only one pill but I am still unsure if it is safe...please help?
It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days.
What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
Got time for myself and visit a urologist today - he recommended a circumcision. prescribed two tablets - fluconazole and cefuroxime axetil.
Please suggest if circumcision is the only way out? cant this be cured? I hate hospitals and the hospitalizations.
Best things when pregnant (per my doctor) are monistat 3, gyne-lotrimin, terazol-3 (prescription) and fluconazole generic for difulcan. (Also prescription) the fluconazole is amazing! Took it three weeks ago works in 3 days normally.
Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

Yeah, the Fluconazole I'm taking is just a generic brand of Diflucan. So taking a single dose of Diflucan usually gets rid of your yeast infection? Lucky, haha. I'm on day 11 right now of taking Diflucan and I can't say its doing anything. I've heard that taking probiotics while taking antibiotics is also good for avoiding yeast infections, especially Acidopholous (which is the bacteria found in yogurt naturally).

They are used for fungal infections and are in my experience pretty good at what they do.
Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!

You can ask your vet to prescribe an antibiotic like cephalexin and an antifungal like fluconazole both which can be called into a walmart in your area and they are on the $4 generic list so it keeps cost down. As for itching they can have antihistamines WITHOUT DECONGESTANTS in them.

Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.
He is Rxing fluconazole for 6 weeks, one tab a day, 100mg. Is this safe? I am healthy for the most part, 40 yr old female with Hashimoto's. My main symptom is chronic stomach bloating. Your doctor can also prescribe an antifungal medication to take by mouth. You can also purchase 100mg Fluconazole a one single dose oral capsule without a prescription, but I feel that you will require a stronger dose and a longer course than one day.
Ask your doctor to take a skin swab to identify that you do have a fungal problem and/or any other bacteria on those skin areas, so that you can get the appropriate treatment.
This time I took fluconazole 150 mg that my doctor prescribed at the last visit. I even took a second dose 72 hours later and I am still having itching, redness, and soreness. I am scared now, I don't know why fluconazole isn't working (it worked for me in the past). What else can I use? I feel out of options, since fluconazole failed. Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen.
I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt.
