I took Fluconazole for a yeast infection a month ago. I had develope three small rash on my chin. Today when I got up I notice the rash is on the side of my nose and near my left eye. I do know that one of the side affect of this medication is rash. is this normal to have a rash that is spreading and has lasted for weeks because of this medication?

You should stop using any cosmetic, use mild soaps and lotions and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If it itches then you can take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin.
5 years. Many doctors, I tried same medications,also antibiotics, fluconazole for yeast infections, yoghourt. Believe me nothing worked and the over use of the creams was making my skin very thin. The last doctors I went said I suffered from balanitis and recommended me to circumsice my penis. I am not entirely sure of the cause, but from the research I've seen one person said her liver enzymes were off, so you might want to consider getting a liver panel done-I personally would think that you would be jaundice, your skin color and whites of your eyes will look yellow if these were off but the other person didn't mention this being the case with her. But jaundice(even if not seen does in fact cause itching but it is generally body wide not localized to one area).

Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

Hi doctor,i got this jock itch last year, first i tried tropical oitment like clotrimazole and miconazole but dint help. Then a doctor friend of mine suggested me fluconazole tabs once a week, after taking and applying oitment, it was cured but again came back after 10 days. Then i tried itraconazole 200mg a day for a month as suggested by another friend. It cured my itch but again came back after 10 days .
Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.

I made a doctor appt for that following Wednesday where I was tested. My results came back positive for a yeast infection and negative for everything else...except the herpes blood test. My result was <0.90. According to the graph that was posted with the results, is positive. There was another standard graph that said 0-0.89 was normal. My doctor says I am positive for HSV 1. Can someone please explain to me how she came to that conclusion? I have never had any symptoms of HSV 1...
